A customer complained that I have loud noises coming out of my car and Lyft deactivates me.
I still have my studded snow tires on it was loud on the Mass Pike while the customer was on a calll the whole time and apparently he complained... now I have to go to a mechanic and have my car inspected for safety even though I tell them I have studded snow tires and that's the reason is loud...
This is extremely aggravating and I have no recourse for justice so I simply have to cave and go pay a mechanic to fill out the damn form just so Lyft will reactivate
Grrr

If inspection can't find any mechanical problems- send the bill to Lyft and ask for reimbursement.

I get very annoyed with the noise car makes especially from tires.I have all season tires and these tires have 35k on it the threads are still good but they started becoming noisy so today I’m going to buy new summer tires I heard the summer tires are less noisy.

Summer tires are usually louder since they adhere to the surface better.

Grand touring all season should be good, just don't buy cheap.

Tirerack has good reviews on relative differences between each tire.

You sure that summer tires make more noise?because I was looking on the net last night and they say summer tires are better

Those are studded tires, which are complete overkill in most places we drive in southern New England.

All the summer tires I have experience with. They also wear faster.

the car came with the studded snow so I use them because I'm a ski instructor and have to get to the mountain but they are coming off Monday after what I think is the final snow falling on Sunday

Studs only make a difference on ice. A decent set of modern snow tires and a brain is all that should really be needed.
That's true in most cases. However, I have a friend that leaves for work at 4:30 every morning and roads are often untreated at that time. She has a Camry with studded snow tires. I have driven it several times and it makes a big difference. I have not compared them to regular snow tires but if I were her I would use the studded snows too.
