Hey you are very observant but you failed to notice in the story that I crossed the city border into Pleasantville. Therefore the cop that recognized me, which is one I have seen many times and waved at, is in Pleasantville, not New Jack City.
Gotcha, mybad
I wouldn't go as far as saying I stole food. I am in the business to deliver and buy my own meals. I had this food in my possession because I canceled a delivery to not risk deactivation from a customer who I observed and assumed looked to me as they would do anything and say anything, up and including lying about me and the delivery, to get a refund and free credits and a free order to boot. I do not like taking orders and I do not like canceling orders. However, as I said before, this was the best course of action to keep me delivering, in my opinion.

I appreciate the advice about texting the address. In most cases, I get a text with the address. I did not think of asking her to text me the address in the case. However, this is Uber. I have no defense even if I am right. So instead of covering my a$$, I would rather take the chance and then take he loss if needed. Which I did.
Yeah the text, would likely solve Ubers main concern which should be validating why you were at an alternate location. It may be kinda bold to do so, but calling support and telling them your side couldve prevented the high speed chase. They way you left things could reinforce their lie, especially if Uber doesnt capture their GPS location the way they do for drivers.

From my experience, Uber wants to know a few things, was the order picked up, was it correct, and was it delivered. If the answer is yes, they will probably deny a refund.

Oh yea absolutely agree. I know some people live for this kind of stuff but I was not very happy having several, back to back, near collisions because people from a bad part of town, who most likely have little to no care in the world about going to jail (or back to jail), want to chase me around the neighborhood over taking their freebie.

I don't turn off the apps to not go to undesirable areas, I just decline them, I feel like by turning off the app you're missing out on possible orders that might take you back to your area.
With DD I pause when I am delivering to a specific area. Not a bad area, but within an area that covers a Walmart Supercenter and a PETCO almost side by side. I know I will get 10-15 Walmart offers and 5-6 PETCOs as soon as I hit the delivery complete confirm. Why decline? Just pause till I get outta there. And if I miss one good one, so be it. Beside, it will only be after they are done bombarding me with WALPET.
