sometimes peopel try to get you to pick thm up at the side entrances, but the grounds staff usually tell me not to use those locations and pick up t the front.
If they have a new designated spot I was unaware. I was there yesterday and didnt see anything

 

My understanding is that you enter the same way you would go to pick up at the Weston hotel. However you would not go to the Weston. Instead you would go straight and make your way around the convention center. You can pick up at multiple points as you make your way around.

However sometimes there is a guy blocking you from making your way around the convention center. In that case you are limited to waiting at the main entrance of the Weston hotel.

 

Ok. I always thought u can not drive along the convention center. I have to try that next time. Of course, when I drive there next time, the pax will not be there but at the front lol.

 

They protecting for their taxi business over there, if You pick up at the wrong place near by then the fine is $1,000, and most the time , they have 3 or 4 pax over there.

 

Pretty simple, I go to the ping or call them. They are never out front where taxis pull up, as I guess the convention center staff directs them elsewhere.

There is also a designated pickup area on D street under the Weston and not far from lawn on D

 

Called pax and she couldn't explain where she was. I was not close enough so the count down clock didn't start. Can't cancel.

Wasted 15 minutes. Then another 10 minutes for the 2nd pool pax. Good thing they went to some airport hotel not seaport.

Uhhh why would you wait 10 mins for a pool pax? You can cancel after 2 minutes and collect fee...

 

why bother picking up from convention center it is always a hassle and 95% of the time their ride is under 3 miles

 

I almost got a ticket one time for dropping off in front of the convention center.

 

i tell them to walk over to the westin or cancel

 

It kept saying drive closer to pax. No count down clock.

Here's the question: can I cancel and get paid when there's no cancellation button?

 

Noooo - you have to be in the location of the passenger - if that were the case people would just sit around at the wrong my pickup location collecting cancel fees.....but still you never should wait more than 5 mins....if you can’t find the location cancel and move on- what a waste of time
