The submission must have completed even though you got timeout message. I think you just have to wait now for them to verify documents etc
Im not so sure they didn't remove the phone appointment part during the day today. If it was in my submission I would still have to fill it out, timeout error or not.

How on earth are they going to call every person trying to claim benefits? That's conservatively 250,000 calls.

Ahh Good old Auburn Centrelink
Queues have been like that way before the carona days
I love that place in Auburn i'm so grateful to them, I'm there favourite customer. I dont wait in any queue ever, you gotta know the tricks. Im thinking with the right strategy I could buy another... Thanks Mulder, make sure you pay your taxes in full this income year. What would i do without you.

Can anyone tell me how I got to the point below but never was offered to book a phone appointment? I submitted my documents and it timed out after that. Once I logged back in, it says its already in progress. I have no idea. Timed out so many times during the period of filling it all out.

What did you do for the Separation Certificate from Uber?
Or did you write a letter saying you are still driving Uber but the income is down?

I wrote the following, then saved it as a pdf file and uploaded it in the spot asking for it -

I do not have an employment separation certificate, I was working as an Uber driver and ceased as of March 21 due to both a massive earnings drop and fear over driving and catching the virus or spreading it to others unknowingly. I have included a screenshot of my final 3 weeks and the decreasing earnings.

Just show ola earnings over the past 3 weeks no arguments

I'm sorry guys, but what would be the best way to get ur CRN if you forgot it? Phone? Email? In person?
Thx
do you have a MYGOV account? They have a link to register your interest they will contact you back, but it registers today as the start day for payment, if you are not desperate to get paid straight away!

Hank Johgan cio of Centrelink on 2GB now,

if you don't have CRN,
Go to my gov website and lodge a 'Intent to Claim'
and Centrelink will call back to follow up so no need to line up at Centrelink

Payments will be back dated to Monday
You will also get the $750 on 31st March

Not trying to nit pick, but as some drivers might be desperate. Should that not be $550?

based jobseeker is $550 per fortnight + covid19 supplement is $550 , once you lodge successfully,

You will also be eligible for covid19 stimulus package payment of $750 on 31st March and another $750 on 13th July.
Once on benefits, you will also be entitled to rental assistance if you rent, utilities assistance
If you have kids under 16 , family tax benefits

So any sole traders who do uber only,
and not prepared to drive in this environment
You may want to consider Centrelink to tie you over for the next 6 months

I am pretty sure Jobseek gets the figures you mention, except the $750 payments. The $750 is for all the other centrelink receivers that do not get the fortnightly $550 (Eg Aged Pesioners, Invalids, etc),

Jobseeker gets the standard rate + $550. Not the $750 as well.

I will keep driving until the government shuts us down as I don't want to use my super unless it's absolutely necessary .

not according to Hank Johan who is head of Centrelink on 2GB just now has stated
All welfare recipients will get the additional $750 stimulus payments

Mmm , I'll need to re listen to the podcast if you correct ?

I just spoke to the office of my local federal member, at the moment if your partner earns over the old threshold you will only receive the corona special payment $250 per week not newstart etc. I was advised to write an email which i have done to my local federal member as others have done to get the means test removed or adjusted at this time like the assets test has been removed. write emails now this is ridiculous!

I'm pleased to report you are correct.

That's a relief to me, had already asumed not entitled to anything, $250 a week better than nothing, thanks for the post.😁

As far as I know, jobseeker, newstart, stimulus, 'dole' all fall into the same category here for the next 6 months. I think even the actual dole bludgers are getting the full $550 per week as well. Here is the official wording on the name change -

~ From 20 March 2020, JobSeeker Payment replaces Newstart Allowance as the main income support payment for recipients aged between 22 years to Age Pension qualification age who have capacity to work ~

The $750 payments Im not sure, since most who have applied for Jobseeker won't find out about their acceptance until well after March 31. Might be backdated as they promise the Jobseeker will be. Certainly will get the 2nd payment however.

The misinformation and confusion represented here is the same for the broader community. Absolutely pathetic it has been so difficult to get straight, accurate information from those devising these schemes.
