Please post any more information you might get on the stimulus package and signing up for Jobseeker and the Coronavirus supplement

they said asset tests would be waived so theoretically this should mean you can get it if you have savings in bank?

how are they assessing your drop in income as an Uber driver?

any further information on accessing superannuation? How are they qualifying financial stress?

Ive completed the forms but in order to lodge the claim on my gov you need to present id in person as well, otherwise it doesn't allow you to lodge it.

Its a disaster at centerlink with the queue well out on the street. Let's see how long it takes. The security already asked staff for me whether i need to wait it out as all i need to do is drop of id, yes i need to wait.

No, not on my gov or the other app. I think i looked on both apps. Plus the quicker i lodge the quicker the lodgement date becomes the first contact pay date.

Centerlink is a coronavirus is definately a virus hotspot candidate, if staff dont take control than i have not much else to do but to take my chances.

Ive progressed about 2 meters in the queue, i hope i get served before they close. I'll let u guys know when i get inside the building, hopefully i do get inside.

A lot of fresh faces has arrived. The queue on the street is now at the end of the next set of units. I wonder if everyone would still wait if it rains.

I was very impressed with my visit to Centrelink today. Arrived at 8.30. Joined a long line outdoors. Left at 9.44am with the MyGov code to link everything online.

When you consider that every man and his dog are going there today, they exceeded my expectations. Especially as its not like they had weeks of notice that they could plan for hiring more staff.

Anyone that complains about the long waits is just as bad as a FUber paxhole complaining about surges and/or wait on NYE.

Now my online experience.........about to start and I am expecting the worst.

BTW...... took me 3 months to sign up with FUber....... and they planned to be busy. Doubt Centrelink will take that long!

I cannot understand why the government has such a cumbersome application process right now.

Surely it would be simpler to simply make a cash payment to every TFN's superannuation account and then you make an online application to withdraw an amount electronically.

If you already have a MyGov ID do you still need to go into the office to show ID

anyway their website is offline
We all should have a My Gov account for BAS lodgement.

But if you have not claimed payment from Services Australia (Centrelink), yes. For today anyway. You need to link Centrelink to your My Gov account. For that, you need ID. I took Passport, Drivers Licence and Debit Card. They gave me a code to link it to my My Gov account.

There was the minister on the TV just now, and he said as of tomorrow, you can submit a claim tomorrow, without immediately going into Centrelink. He called it "an intention to claim." As it was just announced due them being overwhelmed, details are a bit sketchy.

Yes, Jobseeker. I've given in my id now at the office which everyone must do in order to complete the online claim. I now have to go back online if i can, than get an appointment, than submit my application. You cannot get an appointment online before submitting your ID at the office. You also need to book an appointment online after that to submit your ID at the office.

I finished up around 2.15pm but got a flat tyre changed that now trying to submit my claim, than going shopping.

there is no option for this issue relating to accessing your super fund (via MyGov). I'd imagine they will work on this and get the option updated in the near future...

It wont let me book an appointment on the centerlink my gov page, the date and time fail to load.

I managed to book an appointment, its by phone but it would it failed to give me a list of the next available vacancies. So with a lot of patience i got one on friday as all previous days just wouldnt load up.

Now i'm trying to submit my application but my online claim seems to have dissappeared. Cant find it, for claims i keep getting an empty page. I'm guessing that either it went through already automatically after i submitted my id in person or i can't claim until after the appointment. Anyone else have a clue as i know i wont be able ring them for help as you cant get through. They person who served me gave me incorrect info it seems.
