Uber and Lyft will be buying these autonomous cars to replace us, other auto manufacturers will be making these cars to cut out uber and Lyft as a middle man. The prediction is that no one will actually owning a car, instead we'll be in contracts to share cars. It'll be real car sharing. When you need a specific car, like a mini van for your ikea shopping, suv for your camping trip or even sports car for your weekend to show your ex wife you still got money to enjoy life after spousal supports. These cars will be driving to you on its own when you need it, and you are paying only when you need them. Who would need to Lyft or Uber? Middle man cut out!
