When I drop off at the airport in my 2006, I cannot go online and have a red banner saying my car is not allowed to operate here. Yet, at the RAA, I am allowed online. Did not wait to see if a non airport ping would find me though.
You MUST have a Orange 2017 Airport rear-view mirror hang-tag that says Uber or Lyft on it to be in the RAA Lot.

The Airport authority does drive around checking all the cars and will boot you out if you dont have the required hang-tag .........

With a 2006 you are not even supposed to be in the RAA lot.
Whose gonna stop me? I have a hang tag. I was just curious of the not allowed banner at the terminal, but by the time I was near the RAA, I was online.

How do you know what number you are in que??
Excellent question. Saturday, the app did not tell me, the way it used to. (I was in my 2012).... The icon showed 32 when I entered and left. Lyft counted down from 36 to 30 and then I got an Uber ping.

Might be that you are blocked from receiving pings from the immediate terminal area but not the surrounding area's / Airport Hotels / Rent-a-Car center, etc ............ It's very annoying to get these pings if you "Play by the Rules / Honor the 2010 requirement or higher " and get one of these off airport pings. I would suggest if you want to do Airport pickups that you either buy a 2010 car or higher ...... Or ..... go rent a car from Hertz. ;)

Already got a 2012, as well. Just curious about how close to the RAA I would get my next ping after a drop off in my 2006.

I don't stay in the que if it is over 50. I head to the hotel area and get a ping pretty fast. Better than sitting and waiting. 75% of the time it is a ride into town.
