So 2 Fridays ago, my account suddenly got blocked for a report that I was driving intoxicated. I called Uber support to tell them that the information that they are receiving is false, and that I’m willing to go take a drug and alcohol test. They said they couldn’t do that, and they needed to wait until the safety team completed their investigation. But my account should be unblocked in 24 hours.
Sure enough, almost exactly 24 hours later, my account was unblocked. I took that Sunday off, and resumed driving Monday.
After about 4 hours of driving, once again my account gets blocked due to another report of me driving intoxicated.
Once again I call in, and explain that the information they are receiving is incorrect, and that I’m willing to take a drug and alcohol test. Again, they tell me they can’t do that, and that the safety team has to complete their investigation. 24 hours later, my account was unblocked again.
4 days go by, I work a 12 hour over night shift, and once again my account gets blocked. But this time it’s permanently blocked.
I’ve been a diamond driver with 4.92 rating for 2 years, and never had one complaint against me. And then in a week and a half I have 3 accusations against me for driving intoxicated. And not once would Uber allow me to clear my name and prove my innocence through a drug and alcohol test. Nor did they ever talk to me once during their “investigation”
Has anyone else had a similar experience? And if so, do you have another channel I can go through other than the regular Uber support to get my account back to active status.
