It's calculated by Uber, it's a "new" type of math that includes some things and excludes other things, except on even days where everything is multipled by 4 and then divided by its square root and then added to your current rating unless you rating is over 4.5, then it's subtracted by the year of your vehicle plus 5.

All of that gets to your 84%

I am beginning to believe that a high acceptance rate and low cancel rate also affects your pings. My acceptance today is 94% and cancel rate is 2%. It is not just my imagination that every time I pull in to airport staging I get a ping before other cars who have been there longer waiting for one. I am parked like them so it's not the car in motion bubble. Anybody else notice this?

They only deactivate for high CANCEL rates. Not for low acceptance rates.

When you accept a trip, try not to cancel.

Acceptance rates mean nothing. I'm at 60% acceptance, been driving part time for over a year. Still not deactivated.

I don't accept pool trips.

I've also been at the LAS lot with 20+ cars and gotten pinged before others. Maybe they were all Lyft? My acceptance rate has dropped to 90% on two lost rides due to the app being non-responsive and yesterday not accepting a ping when the pax asked for a round-trip.

I've seen this happen on Lyft too -- and Lyft even has a 'place in line' counter. I've more than once gotten it well before it was my 'turn' (especially annoying as two of the three times the only reason I was there was to wait out the hourly guarentee....granted that could be why, but the other time it was to GET the guarantee since it was top of the hour)

I am in San Diego.. I have been driving for about a month. Have not knowingly rejected any trips, but my acceptance rate is at 86%. I have a message in to Uber to see if they can document any trips that I rejected.
I haven't driven in 2 weeks but uber says I have cancelled more rides in the past 7 days than most drivers. Go figure. I wouldn't worry about it.

So.. a little follow up...It took 3 requests, but I finally got Uber to send me a list of the calls that they say I have declined. They have a total of 6 ( I know..it is only 6, but I didn't want it to get away from me). They sent me times and dates. The 6 trips were in groups of 2. On 2 of the days, the calls were 1 second apart. On the 3rd day, the times were identical. Seems pretty obvious that they were double counted. I have asked for an adjustment.

Every correspondence I've had with Uber it has taken at least 6 emails to get something other than a robo response. Keep after it if that's what you want.
