Uber, constantly pushing the driver to the poor house!

We know what should say busy areas... SURGES!!! but you keep taking %55 of the fares yet still paying less and less. Kiss my ass. I will never trust uber to do anything other than decrease the rider's potential to earn. got this in an email today.

They should need it to motivate drivers to come out. Plus, they double the surges and take half.

If the demand warrants it why wouldn't they take the money? I see this all the time, constant pings from the same location and still no surge. Knowing we're getting less than half they can at least charge more when the supply demands it and they often don't. Never makes sense to me.

To add: lyft is co siderably more expensive here in Charlotte.

I am going to throw this out too... if they offered compensation for long trips to BFE rural farmland... (also far away from home...you are going to have a long hour + deadleg home after 3am... ) maybe more riders would accept them... but now the ride offers are too cheap to accept them so we get a$$Fracked by not accepting over and over. Best to just go home now... or get home an hour and 45 mins later for a lowsy18 bucks 345am. if you live in the opposite direction.
Even better if they are trashed hillbillies. (they exist and can be awful.) Also going to throw out sometimes they block destination modes on purpose... are not offered even though you have them. Told them when they do that, I will just go home.

Hmm....we just got a similar notice, but it's only for Delivery. We also don't have a "large, general busy area on the map", just that constant BS "You're in a busy area". Maybe when Upfront Fisting gets here.
