I currently have my account setup so I can only receive XL requests if I choose. Am I able to do XL only pickups at Sky Harbor? Is there a completely different queue for it? If so, what's the average wait time for requests?

I did UberX there last night from 7-10pm. 6 rides = $78. Which seems pretty good, but I know I could do much better doing only XL.

I would like to know how many miles you drove for $78. I did a little rough math and to make $78 at 80 cents/mile is 97.5 miles then you deadhead back to the airport and deadhead home. So I figured you drove 200 miles for $78. If your cost to operate is at 25 cents/mile then for 200 miles your operating cost is $50. You actually made $28 in three hours.

Your driving a xl vehicle so your cost to operate might be 40 cents/mile. In this case you just lost $2 in three hours of work. My miles estimate and my cost estimate might be off but there in the ball park. Something to think about.
I included tips in my earnings. $70 fare $8 tips. One trip was an 22mile XL trip for around $28+$4 tip. I don't know the exact milage I drove. It's written down at home. I used about a quarter tank of gas, about 5 gallons at $2.00 a gallon. I drive a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan that gets around 25mpg, so based on that, I'd say closers to 125 miles driven.

Ok a current and relevant thread.

There are mainly 2 types of x/x l partners trying to do pick-ups at the port.
1- the excited fresh new partners Uber easily manipulates with bs lies and promises.
2- the seasoned partner to no fault of their own desperate to make ends meet cause they believed the bs lies and promises.

Airport pick-ups is a lose/lose proposition. And for that matter driving for Uber period with the lack of surges is a lose/lose deal.
I just started airport runs last night. My normal shift is Fri/Sat 8pm-3am, which I'm trying to get away from. I'd like to shoot for Mon-Fri 7-10. It's one additional hour per week, with around the same amount of money.

Surge in the valley is a complete joke now, even on peak Saturday nights in Old Town at 2am only gets to around 2.5x. Working around surge times used to make sense, not to much anymore. I'm not trying to make a living doing this, just some side cash when I can.
