Do you think when available women should be able to select Uber women drivers?

That will be shut down as discriminatory in short order. Or at least it should be.
This women's rideshare app is already up and operating in the state of Georgia. And they are currently in the process of expanding.

Uber received 5981 assault complaints in 2019 alone. But it's definitely problematic that most male drivers are only concerned about women riders as pax income and not for the safety of women trying to get from point A to point B. And it is also discriminatory to deny women the rideshare safety that men enjoy. You all don't want that kind of lawsuit coming Uber's way. It would shut ALL OF THIS DOWN. And almost everybody doing Lyft and Uber will have to go back to a 9-to-5 warehouse job.

I stopped at the color change.
First of all, the first paragraph was designed to awaken you to the truth and apparently was effective in and of itself.

Secondly, my full reply was not posted ONLY for you. There are other readers in the room who I am able to reach.

(There. I wrote in all black since the colors were making your head feel fuzzy. You're welcome!)

You have a false sense of self importance.

It's not like the opinion of the drivers matter, but I voted yes.

If a particular woman feels more comfortable with a driver of a particular gender.... they are the customer. But they need to be prepared to wait longer for a ride. I wonder how many gals would take advantage of such an option.

But here is an example of girls who would.... When I drive in a particular locale with a well-known university, picking up young female students is a tricky proposition. Many of the girls spook easily, or should I say are "pre-spooked". And it's always the ones wearing the fewest clothes that are the most sensitive. They are trying so hard to conform to social norms and be loved... yet get freaked by the Uber driver glancing at them in the mirror. I had a young babe slip into the car behind me, nary a word, and a completely uneventful short ride. But, I looked at her once in the mirror right after the ride commenced to find her already looking in the mirror anticipating my glance. I said "How are you today" and never looked again. A 1-star rating came through after the ride. I suspect the girls down rates all male drivers not in her age group to avoid getting picked up by them in the future.

I would be fine with such women having the option to be picked up only by female drivers.
Just point your mirror down towards the breast area and use night vision for rearview
If they look at the mirror all they will see is your neck and you get to look as much as you want.😉

What Rideshare safety do you think men enjoy?
women can have equality or be princesses with all that entails. They can’t have it both ways.
Or are you saying women are inferior and need special treatment?

The victims were both riders and drivers. In fact, passengers were accused of sexual assault in nearly half the reports.

U.S. took 2.3 billion rides using Uber in those two years. For 99.9% of those trips, no safety incident was reported, while 0.1% had some sort of complaint.
tomaki3217

It is totally believable that for 99.9% of Uber trips reported, no safety incidents were reported. Although, we must still look at two things here:

1) There are women who fail to report impropriety coming from Uber drivers. I know this because female riders have told me about their experiences with creepy drivers. When I asked them if they reported the incidents, they said they didn't report it.

That being said, I do understand that these incidents may not have included physical or sexual assault. But female riders should not have to be full-on sexually assaulted in order for their overall feeling of safety to be considered. No female pax should even have to sit in a vehicle with a driver who is flirting, making inappropriate comments about women, making sexual comments towards the rider or about other women, giving inappropriate or overbearing compliments to the rider, asking the rider if he can walk her to her door, or holding the rider hostage for any length of time. These are the kinds of incidents that are not included in your numbers above. And these incidents would be greatly reduced by options involving passenger choice in drivers. (Note: I am aware that female riders can be guilty of sexual harassment as well.)

2) The fact is 0.1% out of 100% of all rides is still too many assault complaints. Small or fractional numbers can still have BIG consequences on the entire industry. These incidents end up costing millions of dollars in Uber settlements. And guess who pays for those settlements. You and I. Uber will cut drivers' pay to help pay for the lawsuits they lose in court. So, we shouldn't be minimizing these reports as they affect our bottom line as well.

Look. At the end of the day female pax are only trying to get from point A to point B, just like you are. And they should be able to do so without somebody's erection being part of the equation.

So, no. I'm not saying women should get special treatment. I'm saying that we should consider options that protect the rights of female passengers from the inferior male driver who feels that his penis deserves special treatment.

"creepy" = not their type

MEN flirt with ALL women
women flirt with only men theyre attracted too

A REAL woman doesnt think eye contact in the rear view to be SAFE is "creepy" behavior, they can handle banter from a Man and arent so frail they cant just say in a polite way not interested in you or a conversation right now the million ways to go about it as theyve dealt with it their entire lives

A REAL man can accept no as an answer and also knows how to deal with it.

Of course there is a fine line but its an entire generation almost 2 now that dont know how to have a conversation & think eye contact is rape and holding a door open supports the evil patriarchy

Women should know EVERY man will try or wants to ef them, its literally hard wired

If a MAN cant even ask if youre single or ask to fornicate how else should they go about it? cuz if they cant even ask to find out anymore we go back to just clubbing you over the head and pulling women back to the cave by their hair? women would NEVER get married or have boyfriend if the Man didnt most likely instigate the conversation...

how does one get consent if they cant even ask without it being labeld as creepy? you miss EVERY shot you dont take.

Im not excusing actually creepy men, Im not there only the people present can comment on each situation but me thinks these h oes protest too much

Ive had rides with just women & the stuff they say I could easily complain about but understand and its not that big a deal, if a car full of men spoke like that in a female drivers car i would make national news every night apparently

If its such a big issue and theyre so sensitive maybe they shouldnt get in a car with a strangers or let strangers drive them around

Just like drivers cant discriminate against service animals, ethnicity, fornication preferences of the pronoun mafia women cant discriminate wanting only women. either they equal or not, theyve tried women only car services they dont work, they wanna wait 30+ minutes for a ride since less than 20% of cab drivers identify as female fine but other than that you get what you pay for, they also have car services with higher quality drivers

our bottom line has nothing to do with settling these lawsuits thats laughable uber could give 2 doo doos if their female or male drivers get raped or killed and this year theyre showing they dont give 2 doo doos about riders safety or experience either

YOUR STATEMENTS: A REAL woman doesn't think eye contact in the rear view to be SAFE is "creepy" behavior.

MY REPLY: Let's remove "women" for a second (REAL or not). People, in general, are okay with eye contact that doesn't end up turning into a lengthy glare or recurring stare. MEN even begin to feel uncomfortable when any woman he doesn't know stares at him for too long. Whoever isn't self-aware enough to know when they are crossing over into "creepy" territory by overextending his or her eye contact, has a whole set of other issues unrelated to rideshare.

YOUR STATEMENT: An entire generation, almost two now, don't know how to have a conversation and think eye contact is rape.

MY REPLY: We can circle back around to this specific concern of yours on the day it can be proven that a man has actually been convicted of rape in a court of law by eye contact alone (creepy or not). But comparing eye contact to rape is a non-starter in this particular discussion.

YOUR STATEMENT: They can handle banter from a man and aren't so frail they can't just say in a polite way not interested in you or a conversation right now the million ways to go about it as they've dealt with it their entire lives.

MY REPLY: We already know how the mating game works. But the mating game should NOT be a part of an Uber ride. Uber even has a policy against drivers hitting on riders and against riders hitting on drivers.

YOUR STATEMENT: If a man can't even ask if you're single or ask to fornicate, how else should they go about it?

MY REPLY: This line of questioning (or reasoning) is irrelevant to what we are discussing in this thread. Again, no pax should be hit on or flirted with during an Uber ride. Drivers are to remain professional. I repeat. Uber has a policy against drivers hitting on riders and against riders hitting on drivers.

YOUR STATEMENT: Because if they can't even ask to find out, we go back to just clubbing you over the head and pulling women back to the cave by their hair?

MY REPLY: I'm pretty sure there are currently some men who will continue to see "clubbing and dragging" women as their only option. But we are now delving into behavioral health, mental illness, lack of confidence, low morale, etc. And that's a whole other topic in and of itself.

YOUR STATEMENT: Women would NEVER get married or have boyfriend if the man didn't most likely instigate the conversation.

MY REPLY: And? What does this have to do with a female pax paying for an Uber ride that should be free of a driver's sexual advances.

YOUR STATEMENT: How does one get consent if they can't even ask without it being labeled as creepy?

MY REPLY: Again, what does this have to do with a female pax paying for an Uber ride that should be free of a driver's sexual advances.

YOUR STATEMENT: I've had rides with just women and the stuff they say I could easily complain.

MY REPLY: You have the option to complain - or rate them on the app accordingly. If it bothers you, complain or give them a low rating. If it doesn't bother you, then you've made a decision to accept that behavior. But don't require others to accept the same inappropriate behavior that you are willing to accept for yourself.

YOUR STATEMENT: Just like drivers can't discriminate against service animals, ethnicity, fornication preferences of the pronoun mafia, women can't discriminate wanting only women.

MY REPLY: Uber drivers can't discriminate on what riders they will accept or deny based on sex, gender, race, or other general description. But it's not "discrimination" when a customer makes a choice of what kind of driver they prefer to ride with when they are paying for a service. It's called consumerism. And that's how capitalism works.

Drivers should not be able to harass customers or vice versa. It doesn’t matter whether they are male, female, trans, hermaphroditic, black, white, brown or purple.
I am a fat old white guy. I do not harass my pax. OTH I have been harassed and even assaulted by young college students who think they can get away with it because I’m only the Rideshare driver and they think they’re better than I am.
If you are harassed call them on it and report their behavior.
If you are assaulted call the police.
I have done both. Yes, I did make a preemptive police report when a drunk 18 year old coed thought it would be funny to grab my crotch. The police thought it was funny but I wanted it on record. Yes I had video.
Nobody is more responsible for your safety than you are yourself.

UberStreets, post:again if Men cant even ASK whats the alternative Im all ears?
There is a time and place. Driving customers is neither the time nor the place. Flirting with or hitting on customers is extremely unprofessional and very bad form.
Do your flirting in the club, the supermarket or the library.
There is also huge difference between “I would love to talk to you again” and “Hey *****, show me your ****”
I encourage all customers (and drivers) to report inappropriate behavior immediately, no matter what genders are involved.

Wait. When you ask “[do] WE need to make special accommodations to protect women?” - are you including male Uber drivers in that “we?”

Nope! WE (as in women) don’t need male Uber drivers to protect women. Male Uber drivers are incapable of protecting women. That’s why TWO WOMEN founded a rideshare company that caters to the protection of female pax.

Male Uber drivers should be more concerned with protecting themselves. And I would suggest that they first start by taking care of themselves (if you know what I mean) before they log in to start driving - so they are less inclined to start acting up when a female pax gets into their cars. Try and save themselves from catching a case or getting their Uber driving privileges revoked.

if they want PROFESSIONAL drivers order a car service or a taxicab not someone who just got off a boat or is willing to drive a taco or a human 1-10 miles for a taco

geez now you want actual adults driving for .60 a mile like its 1971 to be professional too haha

nah homey u get what u pay for the $4 ride gets at least one opportunity to see if they can turn it into some good ol fashion doggystyle

I dont expect filet mignon at a mcdonalds drive thru & I dont expect people who work for less than minimum wage to be professional lmao

If im attracted to a woman I do NOT care where she is at or the circumstances Imma flirt & take my shot PERIODT

same as EVERY WOMAN thats found me attractive... women dont seem to care where, when, or what a man is doing if theyre interested in them they take their shots as well the opportunity may never happen again, they may never cross paths again, it may be the universe or fate so take yer shot if she says no or acts like shes not interested take the hint

EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

but I can also tell when a womans not interested and can accept the 1st no

they are NOT my customer they are a future client or fudge buddy 1 or the other, I use the app as a lead generator to grow my off app business of giving them rides to the airport and if im attracted to them as I said a potential fudge buddy but again these days im only attracted to maybe 1 in 1000, been there done that women made that thang so cheap these days its not even close to hard to get some long as you have a place and a car you top 1% to them haha

its like 50% of men 18-30 still live at home haha zero competition they dont even want to own a car and have to share scooters and bikes

like the laundrymat, library, or supermarket is approriate lmao so she dont want to get hit on in a cab but while shopping for kale or reading a book at a place only homeless people still go for the free wifi feel free haha

Bold and underlined but there are several more options to choose that you think make you look smart. Maybe a bullet point. I really expected every letter to be a different color. Do better.

Wow! Why are you so riled up about my use of font color? That's kind of crazy.
:banghead:

Also, Uber is my side hustle. I'm a graphic designs creator and web content designer on my day job. So, I like font colors and stuff. Is that okay with you? Sheesh! :dunno:
