What will you do if Uber/Lyft changes the surge system?

  • Screw that. I'll quit!

  • I don't care. I'll find a way to make it work.

  • I won't quit but most likely switch to another class.

  • Surge, no surge doesn't matter. I'm a super ant bro. I'll gobble it all up.

Charlotte surge or BFE surge, I still have bills to pay! When something better comes along (in this fantastic outsourced economy) then this will become a side gig done at my pleasure.

Well, that remains to be seen. It seems to me that the less one cherry-picks, the less one ought to be affected?

Regardless, it's not like tomorrow morning I can pickup my briefcase and walk onto a nice new office job and ditch TNCs. We each have different situations, and we each have to make do with what options are available, until we each figure out what we need to do and move forward with it.

Finding an alternative right now, wanted to hold out till my car is paid off, but making uber buy me a car as originally planned is getting in the way of spending my time on something more profitable, I think I'll have to settle for close enough at this point
But how worn out will your car be when it's paid off?

If you don't cherry pick, you'll be busier but you'll work twice the time with at least twice the mileage to make the same money at the end of the day.

In the process, you will destroy your car, your health, your sanity (will have to deal with twice the people) and will have less quality time to spend with your loved ones.

Dealing with 15-20 rides, working 12-15 hours, putting 150 - 200 miles to my car on a daily basis v.s grossing $200 in 5 hours with half the time and mileage? I'll take the latter all day every day.
