Have you poked around YouTube at all? I have the same vac and yes it’s a little temperamental but there’s a couple videos on YouTube that tell you exactly how to get it right again. If there’s any sort of blockage the mechanism kills suction to protect the motors.

Costco shoppers have the ultimate herd mentality. It's hard to think of another demographic group that I would less want to voluntarily expose myself to at this moment.

TMI :stop:

I was in REI last year and a Special Ed teacher (he made sure to mention that a few times) was returning walking boots that he'd worn every day for 3 years "because they had started squeaking", REI guy wasn't happy but he still replaced them with latest model.
My cousin & his wife returned a sectional to Costco they'd had for 5+ years, because the cushions went flat, they also had a Kirkland BBQ for a couple years then returned it, just because. But they had also spent a fortune there feeding themselves & 4 kids, so maybe Costco look at how good a customer u are.

It's not hard at all, Millenials & vectors (kids) spring to mind.
And please, no exposing yourself, it's against Community Guidelines.

You don't even need the original box or other packaging. I just took a used dirty vacuum with no box, only the attachment accessories it came with. No problem on the refund.

I've heard of stories of people returning crazy stuff like a fully eaten cake back to Costco.
