Are you too lazy or worried about having to to pull back out into the lane while you sit in the middle of the road, worried about curb rash, think you own the road, low driving iq/road manners...? I rarely try pulling right next to the curb, a foot or 2 is fine if staying away from scraping curbs, but it's another thing to be completely blocking traffic. Doesn't make sense how many cars there are to keep dodging driving around some neighborhood streets when they could simply pull closer to the curb. Could pull some dash cam screenshots but already wiped out tonight's front views. Talking about 30-40+ feet open of curb, it doesn't even require parallel parking skills. If you're near a driveway have to move out of the way either way if someone needs to drive in or out of 1.

Because rideshare drivers think they are special and the law doesn't apply to them. I am not sure what is worse, a pax waiting on a busy street expecting me to stop or the stupid drivers that think blocking traffic is ok and in the manual.

... or pax who open the door before you've stopped the car. Both trying to get out and trying to get in.
