It's 4 a.m, and I've noticed 12 and now 13 Lyft drivers in queue.

Why?

Probably one hour or 90 minutes for a pax at this hour?

If I recall, the taxi pool's first flight is after 5 a.m., but a dozen or more drivers would sleep there for a few hours.

These Lyft drivers may be sleeping there overnight also? Didn't I read here during airport hours that drivers can't get out of their cars; but I guess at this hour, Lyft drivers can sleep in their car or get out and socialize or stroll without penalty?

....

Ooops. I spelled Logan wrong. There IS no way to correct a typo in the title in this forum?

Some may be former cabbies, who'd drop at 4 am and wait for almost two hours, chatting with buddies, then complain about a Financial Distract or Seaport fare, resulting in not even breaking even after the tip.

Old habits are hard to change.

Basically there are no airplanes landing between 1am and 4.30am. I am correct?
I am considering 4.30 landing for at least 5.00 or 5.30 am time for pick ups?
When there are rainstorms or snowstorms in the region, there will be occasional landings after 1:30 a.m. or past 2 a.m.

But on most nights, Logan calls it "a wrap" in the taxi Pool as early as 1:00-1:15 a.m. or by 1:30 a.m. That means those cab drivers actually getting a fare have arrived an hour or two prior (with some rare quick "in and out" exceptions when extremely busy...but that won't happen now with ridedhare at Logan). Other drivers must then leave the Pool, getting a receipt to use at the top of the queue within three days...or they can stay until the first flight, usually around 5 a.m.

Will rideshare drivers, some surely shutout at Logan nightly after last call, get a ticket to return top the next day -- or they're just out of luck?
