Uber is just like the Matrix movie----reality is whatever the admins say it is.

Is it really slow or is Uber feeding pings to new drivers? Are you really not the closest or is Uber testing a system to distribute pings to the person who does the most Pool rides?

The only reality is that the Uber Terms of Service lets Uber do whatever it wants.

How about we all complaint to the FTC with how fare for passengers are different as fare breakdown for drivers.
I know the stipulation is we get pay mile and time.
But isn't that somehow a way Uber is overcharging the passenger? And low balling drivers?
I believe the only way we can make a statement is going and complain to FTC
The more complaints FTC gets, the more chances FTC gets involve.

Fair doesn't exist in Uber's dictionary. I just got a 23 minute ping, from a different state. Ask the FTC if they'd drive 23 minutes for a possible $2.92 fare.

Federal Trade Commission

I believe if we write a lot of complaints coming from the Chicago market, either the FTC gets involved, or Uber in a way better their treatment to drivers here.
