Seems like whenever i;m in the suburbs middle aged women want me to state my name or have me ask them if they're the right person i'm picking up. Are they scared of getting kidnapped or what? whenever they ask me if i'm their uber,I feel like saying "no i'm Starsky and this is hutch." I never took uber as a pax,so does the pax exactly know who their driver is?

The Pax is just being cautious, probably saw the Pam Anderson ad.
Just curious: when you're introducing "Hutch" to the pax, are you holding him in your hand?

In San Diego there was a nut case snagging drunken PAX downtown and at concerts.
He was not an Uber driver, but he had trade dress. I am not sure what he was up to.
All his PAX figured out he was a scam (no phone) and bailed.

I have no idea if he was caught, but it made the news.

So yea, women are careful when getting in to an Uber in SD.

If your avatar is what pax see on your profile I can certainly understand their reluctance.
