Hey guys, greeting from Seattle.

So I am tired of the rain and decided to move to Denver. I do have some projects which require me to be home working couple h0urs a day. But I do Uber around 4-5 hrs day now. Is it possible to make $100 daily in Denver?

Also as I don’t need to commute to work. Which area do you guys think is a good area to live? I mean for Uber, easier to get rides or airport rides?

If you guys can give me some advice I would appreciate that.

Thanks

Jason

The southwest side of the suburbs is pretty nice. As far as getting airport rides go, your best bet would be to move somewhere that is 45+ minutes from the airport, so you can be sure when you're getting an airport ride. The ride+ rematch will usually take 2 hours or less, and most often is around $60 (on uberx). You can definitely make $100 in that time span, but you obviously aren't always going to get an airport ride. You'll have to decide if you're going to wait for an airport ride and risk not making anything, or take what you get and work a little harder.

Thanks for the information. I don't count on only airport rides, but if I can live in some place to grab 1 trip to airport daily should be ok. How about superior and close by area? Would it be a good place for ubering?

Yea, try Phx or Salt Lake if you're trying to get out of an expensive housing/rental market. All things are relative so it's still cheaper than Seattle.

I'd say its fairly easy to make $ 100 a day daily here in a few hours if you're strategic about your operation. The main thing is understanding peak airport times, and when and where you'll run into traffic. I think the main thing is figuring out what you want. Downtown is fun but I think a 1 bedroom is about 1600-1800 / month last I checked. Capitol Hill is 5 mins to downtown and popular area amongst the younger crowd. The South suburbs tends to be quieter but far from everything.

Thinking to get a apartment first. Been to phx/salt lake, but Denver still my favorite. Uber will be my income for rent/bills that why $100 is my daily goal.

Currently I am living pretty close to some big office park so everyday I can grab some ap runs. What I am looking for should be a quite place but don't have to dead head a lot to get some Uber rides. Any suggestions?

superior puts you close to boulder which is a college town with plenty of ubering, also quick trip down the highway in the other direction to denver. You'd probably do alright in that area.

I would say under 2,000 for a small 2 bedroom. But definitely not looking to live at downtown.
For that price you can probably get a decent apartment in most of the suburbs. Superior is nice. I'd think Westminster/ Broomfield/ Thornton would be better if you wanted to live up north, but I hate ubering in boulder. At night you're basically just a shuttle service for frat parties.

That's gonna be tough in any good neighborhoods
I'd say go west of the city wheat ridge, golden, Arvada u might be able to find a 2 bedroom for under 2 grand
Really that expensive? I was looking at some neighborhoods most of them still running under $2,000. Sure near downtown is crazy expensive.

I don't do a lot of evenings, just try to figure out which neighborhood has more people traveling for work so I can do early mornings. In your opinion which suburbs is better for living?

North and east suburbs are going to be cheapest. West and south are higher. Central is highest.

I live on the south east side, and because I'm outside the CTB area, I never start Ubering from home. The good news is that the highway is fast and easy to downtown. I work on the south side of the CBD, and so often turn on the app right after work. I can usually pick up $75 4:30-7:30 or so. Lots of events downtown that have been good for me, for bringing pax in from the outlying areas. The nightlife is concentrated downtown, too.

However, it's too easy to get stuck shuttling pax across outlying areas, and that's not good for much other than burning miles for tax credit.

My airport runs have seemed to be almost all from the central city - well, other than that late night in-a-snowstorm from south of Parker ride.

It's possible I pay $2050 for a 3 bed 2 bath 3 car garage by Sloans Lake but we got lucky as my landlord was a client of mine in a past business, our neighbors are in a smaller unit with no garage and pay $2200 before this I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment with 2x single car garages in Riverfront and paid $2100

The number I hear all the time is 2K. I live way SW in Conifer. Too far away. All the houses in Littleton are far apart, not great for Uber. If I wanted to do Ride share full time I would live in Green Valley out by the airport.
Or Reunion/Stapleton ...
