Hello guys, would you like to share your experience where is best for you to work in London and during what time? For example some people will prefer to stay in City or West end when on surge, but are they any drivers that usually stay local, for example if you hang around nw9, nw10, w3, w5, n22, n2, sw17, sw19, sw20, and any post codes around North and South circular, are there any good jobs during the day or evening?

Mate tbh every driver have there own way to find work and With all due respect no one would want to disclose that as there are some places where I know I would get work if I return etc. The best thing is just to go out there and see what works for you.

Do you remember a few months ago Watford was on surge nearly all the time? During all times of the day, I always figured it was a glitch or something.

Got jobs there day time weekend and early hrs of the morning on weekends .

Well, you are absolutely right, I don't need info where to go but some experience exchange will be a good for everyone, plus my idea is : if you work on x would you survive doing local jobs mostly or heading to town is necessarily? Does uber replace local offices as I can see more and more are shutdown.

Like one of guys i know from Airport runs ask me:
Friend - How many people you brought to do airports runs ?
Me- Zero.
Friend - And look on them (somalians, sorry for somalians again but well we were talking about them they bringing all family here.

I just go wherever the jobs take me, and then try and use a bit of nous while gravitating back towards town/airport/surge areas, taking into account time-of-day, events, traffic, etc. It's not rocket science, but there is an art...

Which is great until I want food or need a slash - then it all goes to pot!

Surge doesn't necessarily mean it's busy... It's also when uber have a shortage of cars within the area they surge it to get more drivers in that direction

Uv just basically described what surge is.
Plus if it's not busy in a area and there's not many cars in that tarea surge won't come on.

Just choose a point somewhere in the city or west end, say Golden Square.

Keep heading towards that point when your empty, and you should get a job on the way there. If not, just stay in that spot and a job should come to you soon.

Watford is the worstof all,
Listen mate as your a new starter just work your way around the city like liverpool st and etc..there u will get jobs..also if you dnt mind traffic then days are good as you wont get drunks and shit bags..also i prefer nyts as no traffic..my advise to you is just go up city and explore as there is always jobs around. As I said before, surge is just a ploy to get drivers to commit to work, when they see the surged zone they just go for it on the double, some of them even switch off their pda till they get there, but out of the hundreds or even townsends only a very few will actually get it, but because there are now a lot of cars in the zone, people respond and start booking cars, in other words, uber pulls you in for pennies, so that you can earn them pounds
