Where did all the drivers come from Martha"s Vineyard?

It seems overnight the Vineyard quadrupled the drivers. Only 3 major towns and each one is stocked. Do you just join the masses and hope to get lucky or is it better to wait where there is no one and hope you grab a straggler.

It was like a gold rush until today. Uber offered a guaranteed 30 an hour as long as you get 2 rides an hour....1 ride in almost 3 hours. Glad I banked while it was hot.

Yeah good luck trying to move around as all of the tourists, islanders, etc. decide to head for the island to catch a glimpse of Obama. He will be there for 2 weeks. Happy driving!

Ha. It really was Gilligans island. I've only been doing this a month so I was asking if there was advice on where to try to get rides. Join the masses and wait or hang on the outskirts?
Well bro, you've got about 15,000 people on the island... Literally. I don't think that's a big enough customer base to get many rides at all.

Get away from the other drivers unless it is the happening spot.

You forgot about the tourists there and the circus that is/will be there this weekend.

Thanks for the advice. Actually picking up. Last ride said 2 drivers cancelled on them. Several people tell me drivers cancel on them down here. The dirt roads must scare them away. That or they don't like cats.

15000 year round. Over 100k in the summer.
100k! Never made it to the yard but I know how the Cod goes. You should get one of those rickshaws going instead of Uber. Probably make a killing.
