eradication of this disease is really quite possible, tassie and eNZed will eradicate first, that will give us hope that it can be done, then WA, then hopefully, the rest of aus, most likely our best chance, the rest of world can go to duck, but we can maybe get on top of this.

I'll go back to driving paxholes only when the contagion is over.

If we do eradicate first before rest of world maybe things will be better, there'll be no foreign student visa holders willing to work for less. fruit and vegie picking will be back as a choice of employment for the under employed..

Ants that are sitting at home when will you go back to work ?
I've been at home for 2 weeks & I'm thinking of doing 2 more weeks just to be safe
Only time is when "the curve" they are harping above is down below 100 active infections, all known, with zero new infections for at least 2 weeks.
Then we may be in luck and the first wave will be over.
Then work your ass off save as much $$$, as the second wave will hit soon after.

The Utopian best-case-scenario of which you speak is a long shot. I hope it does eventuate. But I fear the Almighty Chinese Yuan will rear it's ugly head. Few universities Chancellors and Professors, and the pollies in Canberra will be able to resist the might roar of the Yuan.

In this case, after putting so many restrictions on us, I reckon anyone who let people start entering the country before it's genuinely safe to do so would be unelectable for the next couple of elections, regardless of which side they are on.
