Happened a couple of times this week.

I'd get a ping, I'd keep hitting accept, ride pings out, and I'm back to being online, no ride.

Yes, I have updated the app.

Thought it was a phone issue, and was going to switch phones. But I'd hate to go through all of that, to find out it's an uber app issue.

Has it happened to you? How do you fix it?

It's been that way for a long time now. Sometimes it's a phone issue sometimes it's just their servers lag or overloaded.

This tends to happen when it gets busy, during rush periods.

Close all apps, reopen before ping ends and accept

It happens so often Ive become good at it over time with practice, I feel like a quick draw gun fighter now

ping sound plays but the pulse animation is slow or frozen, don't even bother, skip straight to close-all apps and reopen and accept works on first tap

It's happened to me a bunch then sometimes the idiots give me a timeout for not accepting. Wtf?

The worst is when you're completing a drop off, and a ping comes in right as you're in the middle of sending the default 4 star (no tip rating) and it accepts an incoming pool ride instead (DoH)..

I unknowingly hit navigate assuming I'm going to pickup, when its actually the destination. Ghost ride the pax. 1* and deadmiles UGH

How many times has this happened to you guys?

I usually accept trips accidentally when I'm trying to zoom in/out of the map. Now I make sure not to double tap the screen when exploring the map.

Another pet peeve of mine is when dropping people off in areas where cell coverage is poor. I have to drive back to civilization before I can end the trip and possibly earn a poor rating for my effort.

It happened to me yesterday and I picked up another ride ,started the trip while on the freeway the trip ended automatically .I had to give old customer the ride for free cuz uber is not paying me for the trip incentive from where I picked her up and what sucks is it was from hospital in Westwood till manhattan beach..ughhhh

It happened to me yesterday and I picked up another ride ,started the trip while on the freeway the trip ended automatically .I had to give old customer the ride for free cuz uber is not paying me for the trip incentive from where I picked her up and what sucks is it was from hospital in Westwood till manhattan beach..ughhhh

The only response to this is get to a safe drop off and tell the passenger that uber has ended the ride and they need to re order. Get off line before they do. Most of the time the pax has canceled the ride trying to get a free ride.

If you are using Iphone 6. It is called touch disease ( I am serious). I had the similar issues and it got worse over days even though I reset the phone. End up getting a new iphone7 and trade iphone6 for $250 value since I had no AppleCare.
