We (drivers) need to pick a date & organize a nationwide strike ASAP until we 1.We get a much better split of our rides 50/50 55/45 splits are totally unfair when carry the heavy load or 2. Become Official employees so we can reap the benefits of our hard work & time.
I can promise you that the people at the top aren't worried about feeding their families & paying bills during this coronavirus outbreak.

Ain't much to do for striking. I've been out 9 hours and only made $65. Just heard a major hotel downtown is only at 4% capacity and closing today..

Good idea. You do realize all the ants who are surrounding you will be more than happy to take up whatever rides you and other strikers don't take, right?

What you call a strike other ants call it "A great day making extra money." and both Uber and Lyft loves those ants as long as they keeping saying yes to a $3 ride!

Actually now's the perfect time! We're not gonna make much anyways but lyft is anticipating everything to be back to normal in the next few weeks. if NO ONE drove they wouldn't make a dime then we'd have negotiation power. It's all about their bottomline, if they're not eating it'll be in their best interest to meet our demands

True, but if those "Ants" realized they can get damn near twice the compensation, using less gas & putting fewer miles on their cars you don't think they'd think twice?? Think about it, do you really think the supply would meet the demand if the majority sat it out until we got it right? Timing is perfect... WE don't eat You don't eat

Demand at a multi-year low. Not the best time to make a point.
On the contrary my friend, we're not going to eat anyway at the moment so we have absolutely nothing to lose. Think about it, in professional sports all contract negotiations & rule changes are made during the off season.... this is OUR off season

Hell no but neither is Uber/ Lyft at the moment. If you're out for 9hrs & make $35-60 & spend $20-35 on fuel what bills are getting paid? Think of the bigger picture, when things get back to normal we'll get what we deserve!

I'm striking right now lol. Don't plan to drive until the virus is over
Be honest, are you satisfied with whatever they decide to give you for your time?

Well I was out from 4am to 5pm with a 2 hour nap in there. So 11 hours with $107 to show for it. After gas looking like $80. In a market where it's normally 20-25/hr.

I'm not satisfied with Rideshare in general. I absolutely hate it and it makes me compromise on who I am every time I turn the app on. It's a good thing I have another Job so that I don't have to rely on this side gig. It raises my blood pressure and stresses me out. This pandemic will be a great time for me to relax finally after work

Hey my friend, if you're cool with what they're giving you then this post isn't for you! This is for the drivers who want to be compensated for their time, energy & providing great service to a lot of rude unappreciative riders that can have your account deactivated with one simple lie

And that's not cool. You shouldn't do something you dread doing but to make

Nobody owes you anything. Drive or don't drive.

Why is it so often the New Members who think they can organize a nationwide strike of 500,000 drivers?

Also, it's usually the New Members who were unjustly deactivated and want to press a class action lawsuit?

I guess the grizzled veterans are just jaded.
First off my accounts are in good standing with a 4.98 rating over the past 2 years! Just because I'm a new member doesn't mean I don't have valid points. Secondly I never said that I could organize anything, especially on my own. I never said anything about a class action lawsuit, I'm talking about be compensated for our time, gas & services. Judging by the tone of your reply you sound like a grizzled jaded veteran that's been conditioned to take orders & accept whatever the "system " tells you to do.
