350 metres. Coogee. Southern end of Glenwood Av to only midway along the adjacent block of Mount St. The two buildings would share a fence line save for the two or three storey walk-up on the block between! The app wouldn't let me end the trip because it was so short. I had to drive on a further 50 metres or so.

Nah, it was a warm, clear night... Other than it was local, pax had no idea where they were going. They were 'OMG!' surprised when we pulled up and I said 'there you go, we're here'. 'Really...?!' I had a chuckle as they sheepishly got out of the car....

Hi I just joined.
Mine was about 200m, two streets across from the end destination.
It was a girl, she said "just over there please".
I asked her why it was so short and she said "there's a park I don't want to walk across". Ok whatever.
So we pull up to her house and her parents are standing outside, she whispers to me, "tell them you picked me up from the city". I think oh crap here we go. Her mum comes to my window and asks me where I picked her up from, I'm trying to end the trip and get out of there but the app wouldn't let me. I tell the mum that this is a matter between her daughter and her and I do not want to get involved. I try to swipe off to end the trip and the mum and dad are telling off the daughter. I can finally swipe off and get out of there.
Very messed up situation, I felt bad that I didn't just say I picked her up from the City but just didn't want to deal with it. Teenagers these days hahaha.

Love it! There must be an issue where you can't close the fare for a certain period after opening it. Just curious, which part of Sydney was it?

Hopefully the girl didn't rate you bad. Coz that's what's happening in uber business recently, they expect you to do everything for them just because they can rate us whatever they feel like.

600m has been my shortest. I think they snuck 4 in the back too. I had a feeling and looked before I left, but I didn't see anyone. Then when they got out, I am pretty sure I heard "thanks" four times. I wasn't happy about it and I am still pretty sure that's what they did. One star...
Oh, and I had to drive 7 minutes to pick them up and wait several minutes...

I think mine was about 1/2 mile. Only made $1.20 that ride -Uber pool.

I had a young woman hop in the car. I start the trip and they see their friend and want to cancel the trip then hops out.
Looking at last week when it rained my shortest trip was 1 km. The guy was starting nightshift as a media analyst.Lucky for me this was a stack to ride.

No not at all.
I was just kidding. The 7 to 10 min ones are often the gems, plus they sometimes have had other drivers cancel on them, so they really appreciate you picking them up

Yeah. I think it's mainly the part timers who only want to do surge fares that won't take trips greater than 5 mins out
And i am totally not having a go at anyone, it's everyone's prerogative to accept whatever they want.
And i am definitely still only a nuber driving Uber.
