Quest 40 trips for $25 = $0.625 per trip.
3 consecutive trips for $7 = $2.33 per trip.

I don't go out of my way to catch them. Doesn't increase my productivity.

What's the deal / why do them?

Quests are to entice all the hungry ants to get out and drive a minimum number of shorter, less profitable runs.

Consecutives are to get ants out during busy periods, and to manipulate drivers into taking less profitable pools.

I drive when is most profitable for me. If I complete a quest or consecutive, it's all just a bonus, but I won't eat pools or fight with downtown ants to get a quest done. It's not worth the pennies paid.
