I'm gonna get a lot of heat for negativity here but drivers who do this for other than the money seemingly 80% of LA drivers
Drivers who pickup and drop off wherever pax tell them to even if its red or they're blocking traffic
Drivers who go 15 mph because they're masturbating to porn and watching the Uber app and ppl watching at the same time
Drivers who tell pax were not allowed to take tips
The list goes on and on

What's more annoying than a passenger who assumes I love Uber?
A passenger who surmises out loud I, 1) must not have a good education or 2) do not have any other responsibilities if I can only find driving for Uber as a job.

I live in Texas. Unless its winter you NEVER turn off the AC.
It was 75F tonight, but i keep AC running, because the humidity creeped up in to my arm pits when i had windows open. I might lose $5-$6 after 9 hours of driving with AC On, but at least i dont smell like road kill.

Well, I'll probably get a lot of flak for this, but I actually do enjoy driving for Uber. But I'm a full-time teacher, and I do this just a few nights per week.

During the summers, I spend all day with my own children. During the school year, I spend all day with other people's children. After 14 years of marriage, my wife and I have gotten into a routine that doesn't require much communication to make things run smoothly. We don't have to ask each other how our days were... We know how our days were, because they have been basically the same for years now.

For a guy like me, it's just nice to talk to other adults for a change. People who I would never really get a chance to interact with otherwise.

I make about $100 per weekend night in Chicago, driving from about 7pm until midnight. I usually squeeze in about ten rides each night.

But it's not really about the money for me (although I can see how full-time drivers would hate it). I know this will sound cheesy, but I see it as kind of like fishing. I turn on the app and wait for a "bite". And every PAX is a different experience. So far, they've all been positive experiences.

Well off white men telling me that Capitalism is the greatest system ever and that things work so well in America because anyone can succeed and have whatever they want just by working hard.
the only "ism" that is the solution is anarchism. worked for 600 years in iceland.

I often drive without a/c, even in the hot DC summers. I prefer to roll down the windows, and I have a very high heat tolerance. I turn it on when pax gets in the car.
