Some drivers are making $3000 a week doing 40 hours of work while the rest are making less than $1500 due to BS promos they get while others don't. I have been reading this forum for months and that is my observation. Drivers who don't take passengers for long trips, kick passengers out of their cars, etc. get more incentives while the guys who just do their job regularly don't get anything. I don't know how UBER can't get sued for this. They should. They are literally knit picking everything for certain drivers lol its hilarious and no one seems to care. Plus no one actually shares their ways of doing things on this forum since everyone only cares for their own pocket and all I see is trolling or useless info. What a world we live in. I am truly disgusted.

They have been for last 4 weeks at least. Just look at the "tough week for you guys" Thread right below mine. There are screenshots there showing you. Here is one of them. This is on uber x platform lol it makes me laugh honestly. I have never seen this before in my life. This guy basically can make 12k in the month of incentives handed out to him.

Again, in no way am I hating on this guy, I'm just saying what about everyone else? Maybe not the newbie drivers, but I am certain there are 1000's of uber drivers that have been driving for more than a year and have never seen these incentives. They literally pick drivers based on something....but no one knows based on what..and If you thoroughly read this forum, it seems to me they get rewarded for not taking certain rides, no long rides, cancelling, etc. If that's all it takes, then we're all doing it wrong! Time to be ruthless.

Yes, I know. But that's still 4 weeks meaning 12k for a month. Who else is making anything close to that driving 40 hours.? Nobody. And who says UBER won't give him more incentives again. That's my entire point. What do we have to do to get these promos? All I want to know is how to cancel on a long trip. If anyone can tell me their trick that works, I'll buy them lunch.

I get harassing emails from uber every week because I don't pick up the 3rd or 4th uber pool passenger during my days sometimes saying I have a high cancellation rate. I'm curious to know if these drivers that refuse long trips get these same harassment from uber on their cancellations or they just get rewarded it seems.

2 drivers that have the same high rating, same number of trips life time, both live and drive in the SF, shouldn't be getting complete different promos in which one driver makes literally twice as much as the other. This is the BS I am referring to.

You not reading what im saying...extra 1k its once a months thing. He need to do atleast 80 rides a week for 4 weeks. Then on 4th week u get extra 1k.
So other weeks we is not getting that extra 1k.
Usually for uber you get your typical power bonus driver. And hourly guarantees. And sometimes monday 10.
Thats about it

Are you a new driver? There are definitely tricks to making money on the platform and it is not a situation where all of us can pull in the good payouts. Generally speaking, you need to do the opposite of what Uber tells you to do.
1.Never accept pool unless you have found a way to exploit it.
2.Never drive base rate unless you have a guarantee or incentive.
3.Never trust the guarantee without reading ALL the fine print.
4.Filter all pings unless you are trying to work a guarantee or incentive.

Other than that, you still have to be a good driver.
1.Keep a pretty clean car.
2.Know your way around the city.
3.Provide decent customer service.
4.Park in a good spot to wait for pings.

At the end of the day, there is only so much money to go around and there are hundreds of drivers everywhere at any given time. The few who know the game well enough can make a profit and the rest are paying to drive people around. Keep close tabs on your actual expenses and don't stop looking for a real job. Even those guys who are pulling in good payouts know that the company can change the rules at any time.

it is pretty ridiculous that different areas get way more money and incentives while other areas get nothing. In the bay area, in SF proper people are making so much with the incentives, while from millbrae to atherton there is nothing, less per mile, no incentives so few drivers its 20 minutes a ping.

Does best buy provide much better pay and service at certain locations vs others?????? its unsustainable, as we are seeing the incentives are drying up, what if your paying your bills with these bonuses? what happens when they are gone????? and why some cities, some drivers and not others??? Do any other companies have such disparities in pay for essentially the same job???

its all dumb, just get rid of incentives and make it a 1.40 a mile period everywhere.....

If you were to raise prices pax demand will go down. And there be even more drivers on the road. So full timers will stick around and those part timers who quit will go and drive again.
So it be even worse for some time.
Also they are trying to kill lyft therefore they cant raise prices for now and have to keep bonuses for drivers..other wise many drivers will jump on lyft platform.

Its all more confusing then it sounds.

They made mistake long time ago when they dropped the price below 1.50 a mile

Haven't you seen the threads around here where tons of people are getting scammed out of their qualification for the promotions?

How hard is it to see that Uber eliminates 75% (or more) of potential candidates for promotion through manipulation of the app, but manage to get 100% participation which suits their need for drivers to take any and all rides?

How hard is it to recognize Uber has shills all over this forum spreading garbage viral marketing to keep up morale, defend deception, and keep the scheme running?
