So the fare details is showing back up in my app today. Interestingly enough I had a select passenger, from DIA to Highlands Ranch. He usually uses a private car service but his company is paying for him to commute to and from New York every week and he's trying to be respectful of the cost he incurs on them because they allowed him, to move his family back home to Colorado So he's decided he's going to use Uber select instead of the car service. Anyways, we were talking about how it works out at the airport and the difference between New York and Denver. During his conversation he mentioned what he was being charged for this fare. Let's just say the fare details that are showing up on my side and what he was saying he got charged are grossly off. Also, he mentioned he was charged a surge price when he landed one week, at 4:30 in the afternoon. Does anyone remember the airport surging at 4:30 in the afternoon one day? I find that a very odd time for our airport to surge but then again I'm not normally out that early. For my fare tonight, he said he was charged $125.
Here are the screenshots of what Uber is saying . . .

What I really don't understand is, the airport is a pretty straight shot as far as the fare goes. it's not like I'm working downtown, with drunks, who change the address 5 times and don't know where they're going . so how would Uber get this wrong to where they'd lose money on an airport run? Things that make you go Hmmmmm

That is interesting. Did he send you a screen shot of what he paid.
No . . . I obviously didn't see this until after the trip. So there wasn't really a reason to ask for one. Plus there's kind of a fine line there. While some passengers might be comfortable discussing certain things, in a casual conversation, me asking for "proof" or "evidence" is a whole different ball game. That's a little intrusive. That's basically like asking them to put their account/relationship, with Uber, in jeopardy. I mean the only reason we would want that info is because there's a descrepancy of some sort and chances are they're not going to be comfortable getting involved with what could transpire. I totally respect that. Although he is the one that brought up the cost of the fare and said, well hold on. I can tell you exactly what I'm being charged, I just feel I would have been overstepping the boundaries, ya know?
