You have a few options from there. You can either head for Rt. 1 and set your destination filter north, or you could find a place to park and wait for your next ping. Between all the University, hotels, and all the businesses around there, you shouldn't have to wait long.Got a ride from ewr down to plainsboro (near Princeton), its 9am and I'm a north jersey driver, never been here. What should i do right now?
My apologies, i probably wasn't too clear. Im down and plainsboro now just wondering if i should stay or head back north with the filter on. So far, I've been down here for 40 minutes and got 1 10 minute rideCall the passenger (pax), have them tell you what Terminal and door they are at, and stay on the phone with them until you find each other. You might have to loop around if the cops tell you to move. Find pax, take pax to destination. Can't really tell you more then that...
Yea, i set my filter for ewr, but im not catching any pings so far (40 minutes)You have a few options from there. You're in a good area if the spot you're sitting at isn't working move a couple miles. People from that area go to EWR all the time.My apologies, i probably wasn't too clear. You are forgetting that calls to EWR are gonna be few and far between starting soon because of cancellations due to the storm. They are gonna cancel flights so they can park the planes somewhere out of the reach of the storm. You're in a good area if the spot you're sitting at isn't working move a couple miles. If you move move west towards Lawrenceville or Trenton so it increase your odds catch something going north east. As rescue Brian said closer to Route 1 the better
The airlines just announced they are waiving all fees for transferring flights from Tuesday and Wednesday to todayPlainsboro is largely residential, and everyone there is at work. Get down into Princeton and you'll have better luck. Otherwise, start taking Rt 1 and the long way back up to EWR. You'll troll through areas bound to get a hit.

You're heading away from the Rides. Princeton, Cranbury and Monroe will be ghost towns this time of day. Go towards Princeton, wait a bit, no bites, head on rt 1 north, NOT THE TURNPIKE. it's slower but you'll have a better chance for rides. Thanks all. Right now im in cranberry. Should i slide down to trenton or Princeton right now 10am in hopes of cayching one?
Just got something, i hope its north.Princeton
I looked at departing EWR flights and nothing is cancelled yet. Like pork roll said your best bet is slowly making your way up Route 1 with your destination filter on. I would be shocked if you didn't get at least something going north
Hey, same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago on a weekend. I decided to stay around Princeton University. I got a few good local calls, then I declined a Westchester ride, then kicked myself after I saw it was surged. Gotta pay more attention from now on.Got a ride from ewr down to plainsboro (near Princeton), its 9am and I'm a north jersey driver, never been here. What should i do right now?
Are/were you using a destination filter?Just got something, i hope its north.
Side note, this area is so spaced out...looks like a great area to drive in comparison to the north
Yessirrrr. And that ride was an airport run...got lucky because my time was running outAre/were you using a destination filter?
Glad it worked out for ya.... It's obvious with this storm coming everyone planning on flying tomorrow/Wednesday is trying to get out today....Yessirrrr. And that ride was an airport run...got lucky because my time was running out
Thanks everyone for the advice. I was able to navigate my way to a spot that got me an airport run
Princeton goes on spring break at the end of the week. Their schedule is a little different then the other colleges. As noted above. Set filter to ewr and go up RT 1 North. Princeton University is on spring break and so is Rutgers University in New Brunswick. Unless you get lucky with a salesman that came down for a presentation. You will be in Rahway before you get a good ride taking you up north. Good luck
