Seriously, about 5 different rides tonight had groups of tcnj kids tried to con me into getting 5 or more of there friends in my mid size SUV for a pool ride.

I let one group go since they gave me 20 in cash for 5 mins down the road back to campus, after complaining about no uber xl around (I checked and verified it) and they ended up sitting like jenga blocks, then I find out one of the idiots had a beer can that spilled everywhere.

4$ turned into $80 cleaning fees and 20$ cash tip.

Probably would been cheaper for them to wait the 20 mins for the uber xl.

(Before someone says it's illegal, I know it is, I only did it where I knew it was a small distance there was little to no chance of a accident since it's literally down the road that was completely empty and free of any hazards like deer)

It's because it's the cheapest option so they will take the cheapest choice every time. You could literally try to pitch a choice between salvation & destruction to these millenials. The only catch being to salvation is that you will have to leave the fantasy life that most millenials live in. Since they don't want to wake up from their delusional world, they will chose destruction every time. Don't waste your time picking up these idiots.

These people are really idiots. Yesterday I responded to a pool request and picked up 3 Indian dudes in Kearny. That's all I can fit into my 2017 Elantra.

Then I get a 2nd ping from 2 guys about a mile down the road. Even though I knew I could not pick them up I drove to the 2nd location and sat in front of the house for 2 minutes waiting for the other guys to come out.

The 1 Indian dude started complaining about why I drove to the 2nd ping. "Why couldn't you drop us off and simply drove to the 2nd address afterwards ?"

I explained to him that it's his fault for choosing pool. And told him 1 more word and I was kicking him and his buddies to the curb.

In the meantime the other 2 idiots came out of the house. And I happily explained to them that there's no room in the car thanks to these morons.

I made these guys cancel. Then drove extra slowly to drop off the first 3 idiots at NJIT.

One more word from these morons and I would have gleefully kicked them out in the middle of nowhere.

So, basically, what you're saying is that, you first violated the terms of POOL by allowing 3 to ride. Then, you screwed your second rider, not once but twice, for doing nothing wrong by, first, screwing him out of his ride that he ordered on the square. Then, you screw him out of a cancellation fee even though he did absolutely nothing wrong and was ready to ride. And then you had the balls to actually show-up at his location and shove it in his face that you were intentionally not just screwing him on his ride, but stealing a cancellation fee from him that you didn't deserve and weren't entitled to.

And finally, for the money shot, you want to come on here and brag about it.

And we wonder why so many people get tired of these forums and why those of us who are out here trying to run a legit gig have to eat shit all the time.

It's not because of the pax, it's because of frauds like you driving around with trade dress on your cars.

Out of the four "big" colleges in western Central NJ, TCNJ students are the absolute, absolute worst. Every time there is a problem.

TRUST THE RATINGS when you are in Ewing.
Normally I never have an issue, I'm laid back, 27 years old, I understand the college mentality but there is a point where your going to learn to respect me.

I'm not going let some punk shithead try to degrade me and assume i'm a degenerate because I'm a uber driver when I have a significant better education then tcnj provides and actual great career going for me.

Its interesting to see folks reactions and the immediate follow question "why are you ubering then" when you tell them your actual background.

I do this shit for tax reasons and fun when the wife is working late nights

The 5 dollar ride is nothing to me and I have no problem leaving an entitled prick on the side of the road

Exactly ... Wow you catch on quick ! Did I screw myself out of a nice big tip ? :(

Lol ... You have to eat [email protected]@@ all of the time because you work for Uber. And because you allow yourself to eat [email protected]@@ .

In case you haven't realized it by now Uber isn't a legitimate gig. It's a smart phone based [email protected]@@y cab company. And you're a [email protected]@sy cab driver.

No judgments. Roll the dice and see what comes up if that works for you.

I personally am very, very risk averse when it comes to potentially attracting police involvement, law suits etc, but each to their own.

Very well said. The way you stay out of problems with Uber Pool and overloading cars is to never do it and when you don't on an exception basis rigorously apply the rules of two people maximum, no more than four people total. No exceptions, no cash fares, and if the passengers don't like it then they must cancel.

I'm working on my English MA and I'm about to be 24, so I too can't stand pax who think I lack common sense just because I drive Uber to pay for various things I probably shouldn't be buying otherwise.

Took 3 pax in a Pool ride in Paterson only because there was space and because I was able to finally shut off stacked Pool requests and gtfo of there. They turned out to be more pleasant than the one pax I picked up and who was irritated because I confirmed her destination with her.
