Self employed workers were never given UI benefits before. This is all new and on top of that u have millions of people applying.

I know we are all broke and need money now but u have to be patient. The agent i spoke too said it's gonna take several weeks.

Pretty sure Uber/Lyfy are considered employees for NYS unemployment

Its been 3 weeks now since this surge in unemployment, more than enough time to figure out how to deal with this. They should have came with a plan to calculate weekly payment for self-employed people. They should have made a constant number for every self-employed person. I think its all politics, bureaucracy is same everywhere ....
