Hello there, first i would like to thank all the Uber drivers for their service and I want to let you guys know that your service is highly appreciated. I am in the middle of conducting a research paper about uber and it's busines model. If you guys could help me with one of my questions I would highly appreciate it. My question is for for both full time drivers and part time drivers. how much do you guys make on a weekly basis, and how many drives do you do each day? I thank you in advance,
Sincerely, Josh AKA "doberman617"
The hourly average in Boston before gas and other expenses is $14-30/hr depending on the driver, where they drive, the times they drive, and incentives.

Drivers drive on average 10-50 hours a week. Some do a consistent amount of hours almost daily some bunch it all into 3 or 4 days.

On Uber you average 2-4 trips in an hour for most hours of day unless really slow.

You make $700-$1000 weekly after gas, depreciation, insurance, maintenance and repairs? And a newbie may not know we have to pay double social security taxes, right?

See, everyone tosses around figures, but nobody is consistent by providing details: do you lease, rent or own; gas deducted?, tolls deducted?, insurance (assuming you didn't have a car but now do for Uber) or extra TNC gap coverage available in some markets; repairs, maintenance, 20% vs. 25% commission, etc. Does a driver own the car and just use the IRS mileage deduction?

I realize not every poster wishes to get into all of the details just listed, but if not, the figures are kind of irrelevant.
Yep thats why I replied with the average hourly after Ubee fee but before gas and expenses because everyone has diff expenses. Even the average hourly is a huge spread before expenses due to reasons in my post (1st reply on thread).

I know how much I make a week and my average hourly but my average hourly is alot more than most because of my driving style and that I barely ever do non surge/boost rides. But my weekly fluctuates greatly based on surge and demand because i can afford to only work when busy and I live in the city so i see a surge turn app on for an hour or 2 and go offline when surge dies.

Eg. 3 weeks ago made ~$1700 at around $42/hour where as last week i made ~$600 around $31/hour (after gas but before depreciation and other expenses)
