I haven't been getting the two tier quests for about a month. Just a single 55 trip quest. Sucks.
Never hit the 55 trip mark if you are not planning to give more than 55 rides/quests for the rest of your life. It takes time and patience to get back the two tier system. One way is to switch to driving Lyft only, or just take a break of two weeks.

55 rides option is a disincentive since you lose the lower incentives options. I believe they should give everyone the same number of tiers and not penalize drivers for hitting the higher tiers.

A full break as in "no rides at all" or just miss the quest for two weeks?
Obviously a full break. Otherwise you are playing right into their game and viewed as a sucker. Uber: "Ah did you just barely miss your incentive?, we're sure you can hit it next week so we'll leave it the same. Better luck next week!!"

I’ve driven considerably less in the last several weeks..haven’t hit a quest in more than a month....haven’t usually come even close. Magically I’m now seeing more 2-tiered quests than I was seeing in late feb/early March. Still at roughly $1/ride.

Uber doesn’t understand how to motivate. If a worker consistently reaches a bonus level, and you find the worker is not being pushed any more, you don’t lower the bonus amount, you raise the bonus somewhat along with a moderate raise in the goal. Now the worker might work just a tiny bit harder to get a much bigger reward.

Imagine if a weekend quest was 85-90 rides, but the payout was $300. I bet pool wait time would drop dramatically.
