Just did this. Had to. App on and I may resort to needing those piss ass Lyft guarantees if some shit storm comes which it typicallyy does. Gotta have that acceptance rate up.

Pax is at the supermarket I go to 3-5x a week. I'm Norm in that place so I go. Pax is going to Mo City. Bout 45 mins there & back. 20 odd miles on the ride.

-$10.80 depreciation & crud and my pay out is 2 what the dumbass shit cents am I doing?

He didn't have to tip me, but he was cool and did.

We are total losers doing this. IM out. I'm not doing this rideshare bullshit anymore.

Otherwise I'm down -$1.98 and 3/4 an hour of my time.

To Lyft and Uber, your dirty ass best listen too-

You are representative of ALL that plagues our world today. I'm a damn human making cash for you off my property and time and my thanks is 2 cents?? You made over $5.00.

**** you, Lyft/Uber/Rideshare.

We are total losers doing this. IM outs. I'm not doing this rideshare bullshit anymore.

Haha, I was just at that WalMart yesterday after I dropped a rider off in the area. (havent been there since I moved away) same workers.

Anyhow, How do you figure 20 miles when the lyft app says 8.6 miles? It only took you 16 minutes. Your averaging about $40 an hr at that rate. Even round trip, that is only 32 mnutes and 17.2 miles Not too shabby considering you took neighborhood streets.

Anyhow, if that was not an employee I hope you let him know that there are other walmarts closer to his house. like, the one on W. airport and gessner for starters. Although, huge possums hang out in that parking lot. I can only imagine the store.

I'm counting my miles from my door and back and took liberty of rounding. Because who in Mo City at 11:15 is gonna ping a Lyft on a Wednesday night?

Be careful with the "we." That's a reasonable ride. You choosing to take it on a night when you're not going to get any others is what made it dumb, not the fare itself.
Had to for weekend guarantees and how the heck did I know it was to Mo City?

And seriously WE are dumb letting both these companies be our pimps. WE are. You see it in your own pay statements and at the end of every ride. Don't let one good ride fool you and lull you into believing you can make anything more than not enough to get by.

Be careful. Psh. Pahleeze.

Anahuac is out 10east. Wtf?

So true. You have that good ride, that good week, that good day, etc. and you think all isn't as bad as it seems. No, it's far worse, because you're being played by an algorithm most likely.

It's called intermittent reinforcement.

Anyone who doesn't really understand how that works should google it.

I know my reasons and expectations when I drive. They might be oriented to short term gain and ignoring long term mechanical consequences, but they are not dumb. I've had dumb nights. Those were due to inexperience. Now that I know what I am doing, I no longer have dumb nights, just less lucrative ones.

So I will reiterate. Be careful with the we statements.
