Uber is turning up the surge. So is Lyft.Uber better turn up the surge and make money while they can waymo is gona put out 60,000 cars as taxi and give free rides during beta it's gona get interesting
I've been in 3 accidents in three years with all three times being the other drivers fault. Two of those times my car was totaled. It's a good thing too, they were both about to fall apart from all the miles I put on them.An UberX / Lyft Driver is 3,000% more likely to be in an accident.
A Limousine Driver with three years and zero points, 700%.
More than three years, 450%.
Did you work that into your math, plus the attorneys fees, potential litigation and increase in premium?
I wouldn't be surprised if thats not unusual for most veteran rideshare/taxi guys.I've been in 3 accidents in three years with all three times being the other drivers fault. Just wait until you get behind driverless car at a red light that's become a 4-way stop...no fun.Every time I get behind one of those stupid "Cruise" driverless cars I laugh...that thing can't even get through an intersection without stopping and stuttering 3-4 times then it pauses right in the middle during red light....lol
Absolutely agree. I doubt they're many vets driving FT consistently. $ was crazy good 2010 to even start of 2014 & driver's could make 6, 8 or 10k/month if they really hustled. What happened?Uber is turning up the surge. So is Lyft.
They are just charging the passengers the additional surge rates, and not passing it onto the drivers.
Driving for Lyft and Uber is RISKY BUSINESS.
Look at one of our veteran SF drivers. JUST THIS WEEK his Uber Select car was in an accident, and he received $300 in SFO fines.
This is an experienced driver! If you are reading this and even thinking about driving for Lyft and Uber at the current low pay, you should look for other jobs.
Smart move.Yeah my one worry about rideshare is how dangerous it is out there. Ive been hit twice. Once guy drove off other was at the airport was cut off and the insurance still blamed me 25% so not on record, but i had to pay for part of it. I eventually want to get out because i don't trust the other drivers out there.
