Same job , talked to a bloke the other day ,he is 60 yrs semi retired , just does it casual , they ring him , when someone dosent turn up, or when they know they will need him for a few hours, " nice little earner "as Arthur Daly would say , only pushes about 10 at a time , or helps another with more , like a guard , making sure they don' t run over shopper

You will probably push it all your life because you think that if fuel will cost $1 it will have big impact on the hourly rate lol

It does when you add up all the costs. Also depends what type of vehicle you use. I took an Uber ride from my aunt's place back home couple weeks back, the guy was driving a Commodore. Complains about the fuel prices and that he's making no money . Well no sh*t, you're driving a V6 and expecting to make money LOL. It's basically just driving around to pay money for fuel + car maintenance and to add on wear and tear depreciation etc
