Dear TLC Licensee,
On Monday, July 18, the Taxi and Limousine Commission passed fatigued driving prevention rules. The earliest these rules will go into effect is November 1.
That means that no warnings or summonses for these rules will be issued to drivers or bases beforeNovember 1.
Between now and November 1, TLC will work with stakeholders to finalize the methodology for calculating work hours. Over the next few months, TLC will communicate any updates to the rules.
