Hey guys,

New driver here from Monterey area.

So I wanted to drive this weekend and possibly Monday in San Jose area for first time. But I made the mistake of renewing registration online, and now I cant get on Uber until I update it, which might take another week to get in the mail.

But I guess Lyft isn't so strict. I can still go online.
Is there enough Lyft activity to keep me busy with only Lyft? I ask because in my area I've done 8 lifetime Lyft rides compared to about 70 Uber. So I don't want to waste my time if I'm not going to be getting rides.

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks!

I spent last Saturday in San Jose area with only lyft and I did ok. Stayed fairly busy. However, I have an SUV and I got zero calls for plus, in fact I've never had a single lyft plus call in about 40 lifetime lyft rides. But I do get plenty of Uber XL calls. Probably about 20%.
Just a strange observation.

Yeah Lyft has def picked up since I started driving for both in Oct of 2015. And presently, I'd say the request ratio is more or less 50/50 for me too. But I WILL say the ratio of pool vs line rides has a large spread between them whereas I'd say that on the average 75% of my Uber requests are pool rides (UGH) while 25-30% of my Lyft rides are line rides
