I have had a rash of pax trying to hop onboard with cups of alcohol. I am amazed that they would think this is acceptable or even legal. Are these people this stupid or is there other drivers allowing this? I make them dump them or threaten to cancel the ride. Just boggles my mind!

During the last parents weekend at OSU, it was the parents who were bringing open containers into my vehicle.

I'm thinking about just cancelling. The open cup is often the start of bad ride anyhow. Obviously, these adult children are jilted after you make them dump their little cup.

During last football season I had three at the same time try and do it in front of a cop and the cop was looking at me like I’m the guilty one. I took off and cancelled the ride eve after waiting awhile to pick them up. They were pissed, it was those elitist entitled types so no matter what I did it would be my fault screw that. If a passenger seems like trouble I don’t let them into my car

My latest with this problem was a group of scantily clad, probably to young to drink, ladies in a very upscale neighborhood. Everyone of them had open cups.

My guess - they were getting hammered on the way to something and they knew they couldn't purchase alcohol once they got there. They said they would get another driver when I refused to take them with drinks. They probably found one dumb enough to take them too.

I could just see getting pulled over with open containers and half-dressed underage women. $5 ride with no tip too most likely. Yep, explain that one to the coppers. "I'm just an Uber driver.". That would work right?

Again, it's up to the drivers of Uber and Lyft to "train" the paxes. They're not going to do it. We need to be consistent in educating them about what is acceptable, legal, etc For example, not enough seat belts? No rides. Period. No exceptions. No child car seats? No ride. Period. No exception. Open container? No ride. No exception.

No beverages in my ride, unless it's capped and non-alcoholic. I'd still rather you keep it closed.

If you eat in my car, there's a small vacuum that plugs into 12V power and if you make a mess I'm handing it to you. Or you can pay a cleaning fee after I take and submit my pictures. Had a group of four twentysomethings talking about Dee's nuts the whole trip. Come to find out that the girl with the bag of Dee's nuts didn't notice the flakes of peanut skin getting everywhere. The other girl freaked (it was her account for the ride). She was so elated when I handed her the vacuum that she tipped me $10 in cash right then and there, saying, this happened before with Cheetos and I got charged $40, so this is so freaking awesome!

That vacuum has paid for itself twice now just from that tip, it was five bucks at a garage sale LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
