At Gov. DeWine's press conference today, Lt. Gov. Husted said that web page needed for 1099, self employed, and gig workers to file for unemployment is projected to be up by mid-May. Yes, you read that correctly: Mid-May. Apparently, crashing the economy BEFORE safety nets were in place wasn't part of the thought process a few months ago.

I get your frustration but this is why you don't drive uber as your primary source of income.
Yep!
My real full time job sent us home on March 23. We've been off this whole time and the best part, they are still paying our full salaries & benefits! Don't rely on Uber for anything but extra spending cash.....

We've been working, mostly from home, for almost a month now. We're actually making more money than before the crisis since my wife just got a promotion. We take nothing for granted however.

I don't drive either Uber of Lyft anymore as a primary source of income. Never have counted it as a primary source of income. You can go lecture someone else now. lol

Michigan got their website ready in less than 2 weeks. Signing up Lyft/Uber drivers beginning on April 13th.

Here in Illinois, we have the same sorry leadership you have in Ohio. Mid-May before website set up for our application. 2 weeks for decision after applying.
I seriously doubt Michigan has the web page in place to handle 1099, contract, and self employed workers. Michigan has the same system set up for traditional W-2 employees as every other state.

You sure seem agitated by this whole ordeal which lead me to believe that you drove full time.
