All those tags are there to make the driver feel he/she has some power, in reality Uber does nothing.

 

Exactly. They mean nothing at all. And every cancel counts the same against you. People are kidding themselves. I select the same one every time because it's not worth wasting a few neurons thinking about it.

 

I’d still write into UBER after I use the minor tag. Get an even longer “paper trail “ for the unaccompanied minors’ account.

It's not for the drivers protection, it's for Ubers liability protection.
If there's a civil suit, the lawyers at Uber will say "it's on the driver for not checking ID. See? We have an 'unaccompanied minors' button. It's on the driver to check ID!"

I refuse to check ID's. It is Uber and Lyft's responsibility in my opinion to make sure underage riders don't slip through the cracks. I am not a cop, door bouncer or anyone else who can ask for id.

 

Yup, and when that 16 year old says you touched her no-no because she wants a free uber ride, it will be on you to prove her wrong. Good luck with that.

Time for a government agency to do an audit of Uber.

Like maybe that agency gets a few staff to become Uber/Lyft drivers. And then stage around middle/high schools around 2-3:30 pm.

And no, this shouldn't be a Sting against Driver's but for the purpose of finding the abusers, the kid's families, and auditing Uber.
