I read somewhere on this forum that you can request to opt out pool pings. You can get it temporary and then permanent. There was a user who posted the instructions but have yet to try.

I believe the one point he made was that pool allows for safety concerns due to the lack of ability to screen riders.
I know that is a big reason that I no longer accept pool. Getting the initial rider, a 4.9, paired up with some 3.8 guy turned into a nightmare for me early on in my uber "career". The money suck most of the time, but do not try to convince Uber of that. Safety is the way to go, they still think that pool makes tons of money for us drivers

I have never had a POOL ping. Though I drive east of Morningside only.

I wondered, never knew for sure! I guess judging by everyone's opinion of POOL, I'm pretty happy about that.
