Hey uberrers and lyfters,

I just got my UberSELECT uproved and i contacted uber support to create separate profiles for my car UberX only & UberSELECT only. They told me that i cant have uberSELECT alone and i have to do both X & SELECT together. I checked the uber app and i see drivers that only have SELECT active only without X. Anyone know hows that done? Much appreciated.

They will do it if you blow up that support. BUT!!! You don't want to do it. I've tried for weeks on my select only profile. You will average 2 minimum fare rides per day. Uber will make that profile never ding. They prioritize the black car/select/suv driver profiles. The select only profile will make you go broke. I'm taking sitting downtown royal oak for 10 hours and never catch a ride broke.

Run Lyft for basic pings to keep awake and make a bit of coin....

Select only always on on Uber.

To get "switchable vehicles" (same car different modes) spam support until they get it right....took me like 5 tries on Uber and 65 (!) emails on Lyft

I visited their Allen Park office recently and they set me up so that I have an account with two profiles: One with Select only, and one with both X and Select. I highly advise doing X and Select though, because like nameless said, you will hardly ever get Select rides. I have tried being online as Select only for a few hours, never got a ride.

Is it worth it to go down to allen park to try to get my Ford Flex limited onto the select list? I have leather seats but there are no Fords on the select list.
