It's not bank, but it's still a payout of $22.27/hour. Do you think that's good or bad? Yesterday was average, maybe a little on the slow side.
HOW MANY miles did U drive to make the $233? Take the mileage figure and times it by .57 cents and deduct that from the $233. Also deduct the cost of water and mints (u mentioned in a previous post U give passengers water and mints. for whatever insane reason). Sooner or later you'll need to figure out how much of the $233 goes to the IRS. Not making IRS payments? They will place a lean on u. Ruin your credit. You will need a new car soon, with no credit your Next car will be an $800 a month Prius from Uber. at that point, Congratulation, you're officially a slave fast tracking to mom and dad's basement (if you're not already there). just saying

RuPaul, why do you constantly try to stir up shit & attack everyone? You know nothing about anyone else's situation.

Oh & the IRS will put a 'lien' on someone's assets, not a 'lean', just saying.

Congratulations UberSaur and FT'ers grinding it on Heavy Metal Incentive Programme. I've been earning more actually even at base rate because I'm using destination filter on my commute both directions and have driven much less miles. I'm no longer having to waste miles for Dulles drop offs in the morning.

Uranium is real?
Yes it was real but it doesn't exist anymore. Uranium Level happened at the very beginning of the Heavy Metal Programme and only lasted 2 weeks (true story). Uber paid me a 1.7X multiplier on all my trips including all my surges!! For example, if I caught a 2.0X surge, it would become a 3.4X (1.7X times 2.0X surge = 3.4X). That was the Uranium level, alas it was unstable therefore short-lived. To qualify, I *only* had to take 100 trips.

They are scaling back. I suspect that they are trying to accomplish several things with this.

Initially, they wanted to get more drivers on the street. Uber knows quite well that the rates are too low and that drivers are starting to quit more quickly than their replacements can be onboarded (or at least as quickly or something approaching that). How do you get out more drivers? Simple: offer them more money.

Uber needs to see what is the lowest figure that will keep out there an adequate supply of drivers. This is why it keeps cutting back on the incentives. At some point, Uber is going to have to increase the fares. Obviously, it wants to keep that increase to a minimum. See what the drivers will take, drop that figure by a little bit more, there is your fare increase.

Uber is trying to squeeze Lyft. That seems to be working. I have been trying to get a Lyft ping all week, especially when Uber sent me to stand in the Virtual Corner. Further, I do want to keep the Lyft account active, so I do need to cover a ping here and there. I could not get one. Finally, to-day, I got one. I had to let expire two Lyft Lines, but finally, I got a regular Lyft. I am guessing that people are using Lyft less because there are no drivers available; they are all on Uber taking its money.

I can't get a decent Lyft ping that is 10 minutes or less away. Using destination filter with Lyft I get no pings at all. RIP Lyft.

My guess is Uber is using the Metal Bonuses program to keep surge as bay as much as possible. They get us out chasing Metal Money, whether boost or hourly, and more cars than rider = no surge. I've given several rides to Uber corporate people (not Apu, they actually understood English) that said eliminating surge was one of their primary things they want to do.

I think hurting Lyft driver supply is an unintended byproduct of the Metal Bonuses program. Anecdotally, most riders use Uber & Lyft interchangeably, whichever is cheaper. I have given one ride in the last month to keep my Lyft account active so I can get my rider referral fees.

Yes, they can eliminate surges, but they will have to boost the fares that they charge to the customer. Right now, they are hemorrhaging cash to pay out these subsidies to the drivers. At some point, they will have to start recovering costs at the fare box. I am sure that they will realise that it will take more than one dollar fifty the mile to keep drivers out here. Whether they do anything to address that is debatable.
