I did ubereats solely for 3 months. On average you make a little less than $10 a trip. The distances driven are short less than 5km most of the time. The worst part of food delivery is finding parking and waiting at restaurants for the food to be prepared. Also some of the customers live in labyrinth like apartment complexes.

So imho no ubereats is not worth it especially that you have to pay gst. I returned my heat bag and now solely do Uber x.

Uber eats is ONLY worth it if you ride a motorbike or motorscooter.

You will still usually only make like 22 bucks an hour, but you don't have to pay GST like uber x does.

If you're in a car.. **** that man.. Maybe when it's hailing outside, but then you'll probably get more trips driving pax.

If you're gunna take the motorcycle option, you need 500cc or smaller. 250 is ideal, you need good quality, all weather gear, as wet tram tracks are awful, and everyone drives like they're gunna kill you when you have no crush zones.

You'll also need a waterproof phone holder on the handlebars, a power source to recharge your phone, and a Bluetooth headset for your helmet.

If you like riding.. It's an ok job.

Mind you I usually get at least one or two 30 dollar trips in a night that are always nice.

Thanks to uber eats I bought a row of houses near the river in Phnom Penh.
I've started my own uber competitive UBER people movers. It's going a treat. Running four of these mad boys 21 hours a day.
It's going well, pretty much the same coin you guys are on in Melbourne
