I'd like to order some UberEats but the restaurant is like in Sunset district and I'm in DT, app says it's available for free delivery (some kind of promo I guess)
Is Uber going to eat up the free delivery cost? Will driver be pissed if they have to drive so far to deliver?

Fidi is like Montgomery st area, where the tunnel of all the banks are.

downtown is more market and Powell area, where all the tourists usually go... union square, maiden lane, etc.

I'm just saying you usually don't hear people call the downtown in sf downtown it was always some sort of name, finding, soma union Square Chinatown etc. Maybe now they call it down town but they didn't for years

you should have tipped in cash. Driver prob gotten 6-8$ including tip. I did uber eats once made 6$ in 30 mins never did it after

The pay from Uber is miniscule, I think they pay only for the mileage and time after pick up.

I was one of those guys that during a normal night in San Francisco, would almost never mind doing a minfare ride as long as I wasn't more than a couple of minutes away. However, I would never, ever, ever knowingly do an Uber Eats delivery without tip. It is break even at best, and arguably a loss, doing somebody a favor that will cost you money out of your pocket & time/opportunity.

Earning $100 avg. (gross) daily over a 6 hour day.
Not great, but not so bad either ......
I drive in the S,Bay, so parking and access is not a problem.
PS: A new requirement popped up today - we have to take a picture of the food at the doorstep before we can finish the delivery.

Prob due to the report of the lady who ordered enough food for her and her husband but allowed more than 30 mins to pass and some thief stole it. I also had a notification (a first) recently where I'm told to pick it up within 30 minutes to avoid its magical disappearance.

I did 4 DoorDash today. Two tipped $20 each. Drivers need your money. Pay up.

Yes ofcourse lol. But 99% people tip good in DoorDash. Not sure about uber eats

In my experience 60-75% of Uber Eats tip amounts are mediocre, with some decent ones. That's if you get a tip at all. Eats is a bit of a gamble and I only take it when other apps are slow

I made 196 once 6 bucks for the McDonald's deliver and 190 quest only time I didn't mind. Was 310 am too so I couldn't be too picky
