Oddly, I logged into my Uber acct to day after an update last night , and my option for UberEats has vanished completely, I called Uber and they said that it is still active, tried telling them it is no longer in my preferences, they don't seem to understand why. The UberEats program is still active in my location( South Jersey/Camden). My ratings are high in UberX and UberEats, and have only one less than 5 star rating in Eats since last July. I know a lot of you hate Eats, but has anyone else had this happen?...I rebooted, re installed the app, and I am in back and forth emails with support, no one has an answer.

Ok, so I ordered thru UberEats to see if there was some issues, the driver had no issues , but stated that her husband also had the same issue as me , and when he was driving under UberX he would get meal requests....I wonder if they are combining the two ?...no one has any real answers. Incl the "help desk". Looks like DoorDash is getting my afternoons now.
 
I still get Uber Deliveries after dropping off pax in NYC. Even though my preferences (in NJ) are set as XL only. And now the ping includes an estimated delivery payment (max I've seen is $12). Of course, all you need to do is be able to double-park in mid-town to pick up the meal and then take it god-knows-where to again double-park somewhere to deliver to some doorman - who ends up eating the meal before it gets to its proper owner. Uh, no; just get me back to NJ.

I understand all of the above, but I do this just a few hours a day , and not even everyday, Doordash has paid well enough for 2-3 hour slots, and when that dries up I hit the usually lesser UberEats , but the last few days for 2 to 3 hours I have not done so bad , I am working on a start up company , got laid off from a full time job, so gig work has got me through for now and allows me free time to do what I have to do...in addition to all of the above, I drive for a local eatery at night 6 nights a week, which beats the piss out of all the other gig work I do, right now I need the "choose your schedule" flexibility. Yes there are times it blows, but I want that option if I have a few hours, to pick and choose what I want to do for that time. Lunch hours and on weekends AM hours you can do fairly well

The Goober Tech team seems to think that if I switch my app off and on, and force stop it , it will correct the issue.....I think they got their info from a homeless dude.
 
Same problem here.

I am a Philadelphia registered driver. I have the EATS filter when in Philadelphia but it disappears when I enter NJ.

Apparently if you are a Philadelphia-based Uber driver, as of this week you can only do EATS in Philadelphia, not NJ. E-mailed Rohit and called Manila Mike 5 times and got typical useless answers from both.

This is probably a bug created by one of their outsourced overseas programmers who didn't understand Philadelphia drivers can operate in NJ, and forgot to check the table before making a programming change to the Eats filter.

Anyone up for a trip to the Greenlight Hub...that's probably the only way this is going to get fixed.

I’ve had the same issue since the 3rd week of November last year. Uber support is a joke and just get the run around. All my documents are up to date and I’m a 4.9 on Uber and Uber eats. Have you had any luck with this issue?
 
Yes, Uber eats randomly pings through on a number of occasions either after New Jersey trips in New Jersey or after dropping off in New York, or Connecticut. Like you, I am not dealing with double parking in urban areas and going to peoples‘ doors with a bag of goodies: think Serpico! To my way of thinking, I am not understanding why they are paying you out of state for Uber eats, while they disallow you to pick up PAX. On his face, it makes no sense.
 
Having the same issue again since my last background check. Overseas support is still as useless as ever in troubleshooting this problem.

Just had a Virtual Green light hub appointment with an American, English speaking representative who had some idea what I was asking. According to her...This is a known issue, after your background check you are limited to in-market Eats (which for Philadelphia drivers means no New Jersey), the restriction is an error, engineering is working to fix it. They could not tell me when it will be fixed.

Hey. Thanks for providing this info. I'm having the same issue. I usually work the south jersey area. My delivery option disappeared a month ago. I been doing all the troubleshooting there is to do and still no fix. If you could keep me updated about this issue I would appreciate it.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago... North Idaho here

Same here! I've stopped trying to make them understand after 3months of trying,they seem to be clueless and don't how to fix that problem either!

I'm in Palm Bay FL and I've been having this issue for like 3 months already as well. UberEATS completely disappeared from my driving preference. Back and forth with support for them all to just tell me, "We've made some changes to your account, please log off and back in after 15-30 minutes." I stopped trying and hoping it will reappear one day lol
