XL is not a separate app; it, like all Uber levels, is built into the driver app. It isn't surprising that you haven't gotten any XL requests. They are few and far between. If you do airport runs only, they are even more scarce. When I was driving, I had 99% X and about 1% XL. I just thought of XL as a bonus.

If you want to check to make sure you are set up as XL, just use the rider app. Check the availability of X and XL while you are on line. If they are close to the same anytime you are on line, it is a good indication that you have both classifications. If you don't have XL, get in touch with support or go to the Uber support center and they will help you out.

If you do some searching online you can set it up to only receive XL requests but as Quester said they are few and far between. Doing X rides in a car set up for XL is nice for the riders but driver will end up getting shafted. Hopefully your SUV gets at least 20 MPG

Caplan121 Please tell us how this is accomplished in the Houston Market. As per Uber Houston, this cannot be done. I would Love to be able to do this! :)
And yes, XL WITH X is a losing battle :)

My SUV is considered to be a Uber XL car, but I've only been doing X for the past month. How do I get my car set for XL? Is it a separate app?
You have to contact Support or go to the Star Lane place and have them activate your vehicle as an X and XL. However in Houston as far as I am aware you cannot select to take ONLY XL riders, however perhaps @Calplan121 knows a way I do not.

Ya. Probably a jailbreak. If they have known to block it's not legit. Otherwise if Uber allowed they wouldn't block, correct?

So, in truth there is no Uber allowed way to do this, correct?

I really don't need an answer to that, as we all already know. :)

Many riders complained they couldn't find the XL option. I told them it's hidden by the uberX. They agreed and found it....hidden. Lame as f....
