This will sound really pretentious, and I don't mean to be. At all..

I have a BMW, which qualifies for Uber Select. Is that only a regional thing? Every ride I've done has said Uber X. Is the rate different between the two?

Yes the rate is different. But chances of getting select rides these days are slim. Not many select rides compared to X and XL. Go to the Uber office in Allen Park and ask them

Yea. Go into the green light hub in allen park. Have them create your a Select profile only. Then youll have 2 profiles. One that gets you a much higher pay grade (select) and the UberX and Select profile which is good when X is in a surge around you

yes go to green light, the denied me, but i got it via email anyways. and yes it is regional, Detroit metro area and Ann arbor have select option. not flint or Lansing.

Well if you are in flint you are out of luck. It's Uber X only.
